Jirou's eyes glanced around, pausing on some extra boxes of lights Yaoyorozu had left on the coffee table. "Hey doofus," She called, getting his attention.
"Yeah?" He shouted from the other side of the room.
"You wanna decorate the outside of the studio? It's not that late and I doubt the others plan on doing it. We should make the exterior of the place look nice too," Jirou suggested, picking up a box and reading the label.
300 mini lights.
"Hmm, 74 feet of lights. Yaoyorozu probably stuck to those," She noted, nodding her head at a neatly-stacked pile of empty light boxes, "Since these might've been too long if she had an access amount left after going around the entire room. Unless she had a floor plan-"
"How are you so smart," He interrupted her in a grumbling tone, walking over to the ladder. "Anyways, let's do it then! We can surprise them."
"Sounds good to me," Jirou responded with a nod, smiling at the blonde. He was so enthusiastic.
Kaminari picked up the ladder and carried it to the door, moving it so he held it flat on its side. "Can you open the door for me?"
Jirou grabbed two boxes of lights before walking over to open the door, watching him with hawk eyes. She was scared he would break something while carrying that huge thing in his hands. Thankfully, he only managed to smack the end against the wall once when he attempted to turn his whole body around.
"Idiot," She muttered, rolling her eyes playfully as she opened the outside door for him.
He smiled sheepishly at her, carrying the ladder outside and setting it up. "First off, what time is it?" He asked in curiosity.
Jirou took her phone out of her pocket to check. "Hmm, it's 10:13 in the evening. We better hurry," She said, although she didn't mind staying at the studio a little later. She sometimes stayed up til 3 a.m. anyways, engulfed in a romance fan fiction between two of her favorite characters.
"Let's see if we can get this done within an hour," Kaminari said with a grin, "Hand me the lights."
She opened the box and took out the lights. They were raveled neatly around some green object made of plastic. She handed it to him after finding the end of the light strand, neatly tucked under a portion of the rolled up lights.
The blonde took it from her hands before climbing up the ladder. "Uh, how are we going to hang this up?" He asked. "There's no hooks or anything."
Well damn, Jirou thought, frowning. Both of them hadn't realized that up until now. She was starting to question if she was also an idiot.
"There's a storage closet in the studio, right?" Kaminari began, an idea lighting up in his head. "Check in there to see if there's nails or something. I think I saw them last time I went in there."
"If not then we're screwed," She replied, shrugging as she walked towards the entrance. "Worth a shot though. Give me a few minutes."
Jirou walked back inside, going over to the storage closet near one end of the room. She twisted the old, tarnished knob, turning her head away as a light cloud of smoke flew out. When was the last time this place had been made of use? She wondered, glancing at the interior with creased eyebrows.
There were random jackets and coats hung up on one end of the closet, some with one shoulder that had slid off the hanger. Old boxes were stacked up unevenly on the closet door, and random items seemed to have been thrown in almost carelessly.
"Nails..." She muttered, glancing around and opening a couple non-sealed flaps to the boxes, "...ah, found it." They were scattered out in a smaller looking box along with a rusty looking hammer. Both were going to be of good use.
