Beholding TrustPart 10
Shahyaan felt a little body crawling towards him, he was having a slight fever last night, so his wife had forced him to take a day off and she nursed him back to his health.
His protests were not taken, he was furiously told that he should take care of himself for her and their daughter.
Even though it was a new experience where he was experiencing a new side of his wife. Asbah was finally free of shackles, the shackles of lies that were webbed around them.
And now they were peaceful.
"Zaara no.. mama ke pass aao.." Asbah tried to pull her daughter who was creating a ruckus and wanted to see her baba.. it has been more than twenty days since zaara had come to her family and now she was mingled with everyone. Specially her mama.
"Ba... Ba.". she voiced out her demand in the broken language and called her baba but she was taken in embrace by her mother.
Shahyaan had been elated when zaara had followed his words whenever he would call himself her baba. She would repeat after him and he would teach her meticulously. That's how their bond strengthened.
"Baba is ill meri jaan, so zaara baby will stay with mama okay..." Asbah talked animatedly with her daughter and her daughter pouted and looked at her baba longingly.
"Okay.." she again asked her daughter and this time zaara hugged her mama and repeated herself.
"O...a..yy..."
Shahyaan had made sure to make zaara comfortable in their home. A room was renovated as Zaara's room, it was filled with every kind of toy, accessories, clothes that zaara needed. But that was only "the nursery" as her husband quoted for their daughter.
His exact words were..
"Zaara hamare bina kaise rahegi, so let's keep this room for her when she grow up a little. We will arrange a cot for her, a baby monitor. I have already contacted people for carpeting the floors. She crawls and her feet her delicate. Lag jayegi use.."
Asbah had been a silent spectator as her husband researched well for what his daughter and her needs.
"Cot hum room mein rakhenge.." he showed her some Designs and she nodded. Even though he had been doing everything but she had her doubts and thought to ask him innocently.
"Par shahyaan, aapko pareshaani hogi." His wife's words made him look at her.
"Kaisi pareshaani?" He asked getting confused.
"Wo..wo.. zaara hamare saath rahegi.." she was too embarrassed to tell him. Their private life. Offcourse they were having a certain part of intimacy and she was already having her head filled with doubts.
It was different when the child belonged to the couple biologically but zaara was not his. He had brought her to their home, accepted her as his own but then there will always be a barrier between them and she was too embarrassed to point it out.
Shahyaan who was not paying attention to his wife's stuttering till now but now listening to her broken words he understood what she meant.
He looked at zaara who was sleeping soundly on the bed and was protected by pillows from all the sides. So he pulled his wife towards him and made her sit beside him.
"Can you forget that she is not mine?" He asked her straightforwardly.
He knew that his wife's inhibition regarding zaara and he understand that too well. Only if he could be her biological father.
