"The weather report was a scam!" Jangmi yelled while the two ran together from the sudden rain shower. Even though they spotted a nearby shed, they were still kind of soaked.
"Why is it so cold all of a sudden." Sunghoon said while rubbing his hands together as he looked around the area.
"I know right." Jangmi said as she tried to hug herself for warmth. Sunghoon immediately notices this and takes off his jacket for her. "You don't have to." She tries to decline his offer but he threw it on her anyways.
"Yeah, but I want to." He stubbornly says while rubbing his hands together and putting them to her ears to warm her up.
"How long do you think this rain will last?" Jangmi sparked a conversation, looking at the boy in front of her.
"I don't know but I hope this passes quickly. It's kind of cold." He replied while staring back at her, making her blush for some reason.
"Here." She tried to throw the jacket onto the both of them and going in between his arms and wrapping hers around him. "I've seen from a movie that body heat helps warm up each other. It would be unfair if only I was getting warmed up." She explained to the boy who had a lost look on his face, leaving Sunghoon flabbergasted at her sudden actions.
"I hope this rain never stops." Sunghoon thought to himself, feeling Jangmi's warmth around him. Even though it was cold and windy right now, he felt warm and cozy being in her arms.
But Sunghoon wasn't the only one who was feeling this warmth. Jay who sat inside of a car that was parked across the street felt it too. Maybe even warmer, like a blazing fire.
He felt anger, resentment and shame. He was mad and resented his friend who was with the girl he liked out of jealousy. He wasn't that mad but he felt a bit betrayed seeing him with her like this after Sunghoon got mad at him for the same reasons awhile back.
He also felt a bit ashamed at himself, he thought that he fell for a girl who was not even interested in him. He felt like a joke, he felt like he was played.
Yes, Jangmi never fully expressed to Jay her feelings or her interest in him. But Jay thought that they had a connection, that's why he was so direct to her from the start. But maybe it wasn't like how he thought it would be like.
"We need to talk tonight." He texted someone before his car drove off.
"What are we even doing here this late?" Jake asked the boy as they walked through the dark building corridors. "This place gives me the creeps." He said as he shivered.
