Class was so boring today without my best friend Luther. Even though I was not in the mood of talking to anyone today, I'm sure I would talk to him about what's bothering me. "Desiree!" A familiar voice called out as I turned to see who it is since I knew alot of voices. Matt was running towards me as I stopped to heear what he wants.

"Slow down there boy. You don't want your lungs to burst ,now do you?" I joked.

"Hy there." He said, bending down to hold his knees. "I just wanted to say Thank you for helping me out yesterday. It was wuite nice of you." He said standing uo straight.

"No problem dude. As long as you return the favour okay?" I said, continuing on my way.

"Any time." He said, waving good bye as I waved back.

At last I was at home. "Hello mother, hello father." I greeted with a fake smile. "Hy hunny." They both said. I walked up to my room and threw myself on the bed as I took out my phone, facetiming Luther.

"We missed you in class today." I greeted Luther who looked like crap.

"Hello to you too." He said. Even if his sick, he's always sarcastic.

"How're you feeling." I asked changing my expression to concern.

"I'm getting better." He said.

"You look like crap." I said laughing softly.

"And you look beautiful." He said running his hand through his dirty blonde hair. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Should I come over?" I asked.

"And get you sick? No ways!" He said chuckling.

"C'mon Luther I miss you... I miss my friend." I whined.

"You not gonna let this go, are you?" He said.

"Nope." I said popping the 'p'.

"Fine come over." He rolled his eyes.

I jumped of the bed, hanging up the phone as I walked to choose an outfit. After choosing my white jeans and green shirt, I headed to the shower and began showering. Some time later I had already worn my clothes and had took my mini purse and went downstairs.

"Mom, dad,  I'm heading to Luther, please don't wait up." I rushed outside. I walked over to Luther's house which was down the road. We were five blocks apart. I got there soon and knocked at the door. Seconds later, Luther opens the door and he looked better than he did over the phone. "Hy." I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Hey, you smell amazing." He hugged me back.

"You say that all the time." I look at him with a stink eye.

"Because you always smell amazing." He laughs. I roll my eyes at him and made myself comfortable on the sofa.

"Where is your mom?" I asked as I was looking around.

"She's at work... duuurh." He rolled his eyes while sitting down next to me and wrapped his hand around my neck. I took the remote and switched on the tv to watch some movie.

"What were you up to all day?" I asked while searching for a disney movie.

"I went out actually and I ate alone in the cafe right around the corner." He said.

"Ou... wanna watch a movie?" I placed the remote on the coffee table after selecting 'The mummy' because I couldn't find an interesting disney movie.

"Sure." He stood up to prepare is some snacks. After a few minutes he came back with popcorn, chips and two sodas. He then sat down again, with the bowl of popcorn on his lap and wrapped his arm around me again as I pressed 'play' to start the movie.

Halfway through the movie he starts talking.

"What was learnt in class today."

"I'll get the notes for you after the movie." I said, my eyes glued to the movie.

"Then after that we can get some ice creeam." He said as I looked at him like he has two heads. "No way! You're already sick." I replied as I lay down on his chest again.

"Okay at least coffee then. I swear I'm gonna go crazy from sitting here all day." He looked at me.

"Fine. Now shut up." I shoved popcorn in his mouth before he could speak again.

An hour later, the movie came to an end. "Finally." He stood up and dusted himself along the sofa as I cleared the table.

"Lemme sweep here a bit before we leave." He said grabbing the broom. He then placed it where he found it before we stepped out and he locked the door. We held hands on the way to the cafeteria, making people think we're dating so that random guys don't come to us, asking to talk to me. It always irritated him. We walked in the cafeteria and sat down by the window as we waited for tge waiter.

"So when are you thinking about coming back to school? I mean.. it's been three long days and I cannot keep writing notes for you." I said.

"Well-" he was cut of by the waitress.

"What would you like to have." She said, with a warm smile.

"We'll both take two chocolate muffins and two cappuccinos please." Luther said as the waitress walked away.

"I'll be there tomorrow." He said, rubbing his chin.

After a few minutes, the waitress came with our order and we bothe said thanks before continuing with our conversation.

"How's Matt?" Luther took a bite out of tge muffin.

"He's good. Yesterday I helped him out with his science homework." I said biting my muffin too. It was so good. It had a hint of mint in it.

"Is he still hitting on you?" Luther took a sip of cappuccino and I stared at him.

"Yes... I guess, because he was flirting yesterday, but he understood what I was saying to him. I could see the rage in Luther's grey eyes as he looked away.

"Ow... okay. Tell me, why don't you just tell him you don't like him and get him off your back?" He sounded annoyed.

I laughed at his jealousy. "You know that I would never do such. I cannot just break his heart." I carried on laughing lightly.

He rolled his eyes at me and we both stood up amd left money on the table---- well he left the money on the table and we walked out.

It was getting pretty dark. I assume we spent too much time in the cafe. "Luther, I gotta get going. It's getting pretty dark." I said looking at him.

"Okay, lemme walk you home then." He said. We walked to my house and stopped at the gate. "It was nice catching up... bye." He kissed my cheek before turning and leaving to his house.

"Bye." I said as I opened the gate and got in.
