Chapter 21 ~ Crawling in my skin

So today was the day I couldn't wait for but dreaded more than anything. I approached my bathroom with a feeling of terror in my stomach. I felt it building and building till I had to run to the toilet. I was sick for several minutes and lay on the floor In a heap. It's just stress I told myself, reassuringly. I knew I was wrong but I didn't let it spoil my day. I got ready in my usual attire, adding a beanie as It was cold out. I made the walk to the fair down the road. I had always enjoyed these typical childish things. I have the mental age of a 5 year old. Which is why people would think Ashton and I would make the perfect couple but we are far from it.

The sounds of the fair echoed down the street so I knew I was close. A bright light was streaming towards me from the open gates. I wandered in unsure were I would actually find Luke. Suddenly, a finger gently tapped my back, as I turned I saw Luke beaming back at me. He pressed his lips to mine as we shared another passionate kiss. 'Hey gorgeous!' 'He tall one,' I winked at him. 'What do you want to go on first?' Luke asked as he twirled me around. 'Let's start off slow. How about the Ferris wheel?' 'Lovely idea, my dear!' Luke skipped off making me chuckle. I began skipping after him. We were behaving like toddlers. We reached the Ferris wheel, which was surprisingly empty. We hopped inside, Luke wrapping his arm round my shoulders. As it rose up the ride stopped right at the top. We looked over the roves of every house, it was a stupendous view. At the back of the houses were tons of forests and trees. They looked beautiful. 'This is amazing, I can't believe I can do this with you, finally,' he sighed. 'I just wish I didn't have to keep it a secret,' 'you don't,' 'but I do, Ashton would kill me, he likes you, I can tell,' 'he will find out eventually,' I looked Luke dead in the eye and squeezed his hand tightly. 'You mean everything to me,' this time I leaned in first. His lips were cold and dry. When I pulled away, I noticed a figure in the distance. Ashton was standing at the bottom looking up at us. I couldn't escape now. My secret was out.
