Before I start this chapter, I would like to issue a spoil warning because this chapter will contain spoilers for the most recent chapters of the My Hero Academia manga, more specifically, spoilers for Chapter 306. If you want to avoid spoilers, then I suggest waiting for the next chapter where I start from where the manga and anime begin, but if you're the type of person who doesn't care about spoilers or if you're caught up with the manga... then stay and read, I guess. Anyways, on with the story.

                                                                                        * * *

Destruction and mayhem was occurring all throughout Japan, but mainly in the city of Musutafu due to the unexpected super villain outbreak that had plagued the city. Everyone lived in fear of the criminals that ran rampant throughout their city, cursing the heroes who promised and failed to protect them. With their faith in heroes nonexistent, the citizens of Japan have tried and failed to protect themselves and their neighborhood.

Although people didn't want heroes to save them anymore in fear of them making things worse than they already were, that didn't stop certain heroes from going out of their way to try to help civilians and apprehend villains. However, out of all the heroes that are fighting to free Japan from the clutches of villainy, there was one hero who stood above the rest, one who hadn't relaxed or slept since the outbreak occurred, one hero who wouldn't stop until all the villains that were running rampant were once again put in prison. This hero was currently standing on the edge of a tall building while his black cape blew in the wind. He had short blonde hair that was parted to the right with a black lightning-shaped streak on the left of his side fringe and had a tired and dejected look in his yellow eyes. He wore a white sleeveless shirt with a black lightning bolt emblem that was encircled by a black circle, black pants, black shoes with white iron soles, black fingerless gloves, a pair of black bandage-like gauntlets wrapped around his arms and had blue-tinted visors on top of his head. His code name was Impulse and he was currently talking to someone over his black smartphone.

"Any leads on where All For One and Shigaraki might be, All Might?," Impulse asked.

"Unfortunately, Young Kaminari, there aren't any," All Might answered. "Any time we think we have a lead, it always turns out to be a dead end."

Impulse couldn't help but let out an exasperated sigh at the information that was revealed to him; it had been three weeks since he had started his search for All For One and Shigaraki and it started to feel like the investigation was going nowhere.

"How are things going on your end, Young Kaminari?"

"I've been taking down villains left and right, but none of them know where Shigaraki or All For One are hiding," Impulse revealed.

"While it's rather unfortunate that we seem to be getting any leads, you're doing a great job subduing all these villains," All Might commented. "I'm really proud of you, Young Kaminari; you've really done an amazing job adjusting to and using One For All over this past school year."

A small smile made its way onto Kaminari's face due to his mentor's compliment and acknowledgement of his accomplishments.

"Hey, I learned from the best," Kaminari semi-quipped.

All Might couldn't help but chuckle at his successor's semi-joke.

"So, how has everyone in U.A. been doing since I left?," Kaminari asked.

"Everyone is healthy and uninjured," All Might answered. "However, the atmosphere in the classroom has been pretty gloomy since you've left; everyone misses you, my boy."

Kaminari frowned at that; he had really missed his classmates as well, especially one particular female classmate that's been on his mind since before he left, but he was doing what needed to be done. He had to beat All For One and Shigaraki, otherwise, there was no point to leaving U.A. and his family behind.

"I miss them too," Kaminari admitted gloomily. "I wish I was with them right now, but I can't risk anyone getting hurt because of All For One or Shigaraki tracking me down."

"I know, my boy, I know," All Might told his pupil with an understanding voice.

Before they could continue their conversation, Kaminari felt a sharp stabbing sensation in his head, causing him to grip his head with the hand that was not holding his phone.

"Hold on, Danger Sense just went off," Kaminari grunted. "I need to go, let's talk later."

"All right, be careful, my boy," All Might warned.

"I will, I promise," Kaminari reassured before hanging up on his mentor.

Kaminari put his phone into his pants pocket before turning towards where he had sensed danger. Once he was facing where he had sensed danger from, Kaminari noticed someone in the far distance jumping through and destroying buildings.

"That must be one tough supervillain," Kaminari speculated in a cold tone of voice.

Kaminari took his visors off his head and put them over his tired eyes before jumping towards where the buildings were being destroyed.

Alright, hey guys, Phoenix here, and I hope you enjoyed the prologue of "My Hero: Impulse". From next chapter onward, this story will start from where the manga and anime started off in the beginning to where the manga left off. Essentially, this is just a story where instead of Izuku getting One For All, Denki gets it instead. You may be wondering, "Why Denki?," and the answer to that question is very simple... Denki is my favorite character in My Hero Academia. I know, I know, that's pretty biased of me, and I'm sorry... somewhat. Don't worry about Izuku, he's going to be in this story and play an important role, however, he'll be appearing around the time where I start writing stuff from Season 3. First chapter of the story will be called, "Where It Started". Make sure to review, give me your honest criticisms, and follow and favorite if you liked the chapter. Hope you enjoyed, and until next time, later!
