I was so excited to hang out with my best friend this summer, she's super sweet and I miss her. She told me she moved two years ago and I haven't seen or really talked to her since. When I called her and asked if she was busy she always was and said she couldn't talk long, but this weekend is different. She's not busy! I was super excited and still am. Although, she asked me a really weird question before she said she could come, "Is where we're going by a town? Or maybe a prison?"

I thought that was strange but said we were going deep in the woods for camping. She sounded relived but, I didn't ask her why, I was to excited to be concerned.

Today I get to see her! It's been so long so I put on my makeup and straighten my short dirty-blond hair. My brown eyes shined in the light.(I am seventeen, five foot eleven). My bight blue crop and my jeans shorts that have small gems lining the pockets on.

I saw her when she was walking up on my drive way. She looked different from when I last saw her, she was fourteen, she had medium length light brown hair.  she was five foot eight. She always had a light coat of makeup on with her hair either curled or straightened. She was wearing nice, bright clothing. Her eyes were dark brown that could turn to hazel at the time.

Now she's sixteen, with her hair eleven to twelve inches of hair. Her hair's black with a red ombré at the bottom. Her hair sticking up randomly, only brushed it seemed. She had no makeup and she's now five foot ten. Her clothes were somewhat torn and ragged. Her eyes were also hazel with slight red in them. She was with someone else who seemed familiar.

She has blond hair with purple streaks in it. She also had electric blue eyes, and she was wearing the blackest clothes. Aven had her arm around the other girl and they seem to be talking, they looked at me and laughed.

I ran up to Aven and hugged her tight. "I'm so glad to see you!" I told her excitedly. She looked at me and said. "I'm glad to see you to." She was one inch shorter then me. She seemed more alert from the last time I saw her. She used to be non-caring, but that's what I like about her. Now she's, serious. What happened, I thought.

"Where have you been and why haven't you been returning all my calls?" I asked while putting my hands on my hips. She looked down nervously, "I've been busy." She told me "For months?" I asked her. "Uhh, with school and stuff ya, they work you hard." She looked around nervously. "Wait, Rose I thought you died?" I asked Rose. "Sweet heart, that is too far from the truth, who says I'm not dead right now?" Rose says with a slight British accent.

"Should we go now?" I asked Aven. "Yes, that would be nice." She told me while looking around nervously.

We were going to be in a car for two hours with me in the middle, Aven on the right and Rose on the left. My mom was going to be driving us up there, but then driving back down as we can not drive yet.

I pull Rose away from Aven, "Now look here Rose, Aven is my friend and not yours." I tell her. "Well, sweet heart, I'm not trying to steal her so you have nothing to worry about." Rose says. "I don't bei-" I start to say but, Rose interrupts me "Listen here I'm not like other girls so don't threaten me." She says, she glares at me then smiles sweetly at me before walking over to Aven.

We got in the car and about, thirty minuets later, I ask Aven, who was looking out the window, "So, what happened to you?" She was looking out the window and asked with a smile on her face. "What do you mean?" She said innocently. She's playing something. "What I mean, is why haven't I seen you in two years and why are your clothes all messed up?" I saw Aven tense up. So I ask again "Why?" Aven's eyes went wide, then she relaxed. "School was, uh, six days a week and every Sunday --the day I have off-- I was always busy and/or, uh, hanging out with Rose." Ok, Rose was getting on my nerves.

"That doesn't answer my question about your clothes." I crossed my arms. She looked at me and smiled sweetly. "I tripped on the way over, I fell in a puddle that had sticks and branches in it." I smile. "Okay."

~~~~~Time Skip~~~~~
We got to the camping spot and set up. Aven helped but, I'd randomly see her looking into the forest. We finished setting up and I said bye to my mom and got in our camper. It had a bunk bed and a little kitchen next to a tv. The bathroom was next to the bunk beds.
"I'll sleep next to Aven." I offered. "Sweet heart, I'll sleep next to Aven." Her eyes went fully black, then changed back again. I jumped back. How does she do that? Aven nudged Rose and gave her a look. "I'll just sleep next to Rose." Aven said. I'm going to see if guilt would work. "Fine, I just miss when we stayed up late and talked and shared secrets at night, you know, what we used to do before you basically left me."
Aven started wide eyed at me, did it work? "Uhh, ya we can do that....tomorrow?" She offered. "Ok...but you promise?" I asked. "Oh c'mon you know we haven't promised since second grade, right?" She didn't seem to like that. "Just, c'mon it's not the end of the world." I told her. After that we all went to bed and I slept on the top bunk, and Aven went with, Rose.
