I walked around the street, with a spoon on my right hand and cup of yogurt on the other. My eyes wandered around the street of London, my blonde hair following the wind's direction. I wore a plaid medium length polo shirt, over my plain tank top. My leggings ripped from both sides, showing my thighs. My Doc Martens black boots followed each other, as I stepped forward.
I remembered when I used to dress so simple, and comfortable. My closet used to be full of normal, and not ripped jeans, tank tops with various designs, sun dresses and so much more. Now all it has are black clothes. To begin with, I wasn't always like this. I used to be always beaming, smiling at everyone I meet. Now, I'm nothing but a wall, as thick as the wall I created. I didn't waste my time building another bridge to have people get close to me again.
No. Not after I was part of a game I never wanted to play. I used to love someone so dearly, I showed no effort of showing as I don't need to work for it. It was quite obvious. He one day asked me out, and out of joy I said yes. Wouldn't you do the same? If someone you've been in love with ever since you were a child asked you to be his girlfriend/boyfriend, wouldn't you jump so high like the happiest person on earth? I did. That wasn't the biggest mistake yet.
The biggest mistake I have ever made was letting the word 'yes' escape my mouth.
"Hey Zoey," my childhood friend smiled at me. He lived right across from me, so even if he's on tour, I still get to see him once in a while. Did I mention the person I have been crushing on since I was twelve was a pop star? No, well he is. He happens to be Harry Styles of One Direction.
"Hi Harry, right?" I asked, trying to sound cool. I stood on my door frame, in front of Harry and four other lads whom I remembered to be named Zayn Malik, the one who had his hair swept up. Louis Tomlinson, the tall, skinny one. Liam Payne, the one with the birthmark on his neck, and last but not least, Niall Horan, the only blonde in the group. I knew nothing about these boys, but I did listen to their songs because of Harry. "Long time, no see. What's up?"
"Glad you still remember me," he smiled, his deep dimples noticeable. "The boys and I are having a party later tonight, we'd like to invite you."
"That sounds fun. Count me in!" I said too quickly, earning a chuckle from Harry. I smiled at the boys and forgot that I haven't introduced myself. "I'm Zoey, nice to meet you lads."
"Likewise." Zayn said, shaking my hand. The other boys just smiled, genuinely before they all waved a goodbye and walked to Harry's house.

"Hey Zoey, you made it!" Harry cheered as he opened the door after three knocks. I looked around the empty room, and arched an eyebrow. "Come on in!"
"So, where's the party?"
"About that, there's -",
"No party. Harry just wanted you to come over." Louis shrugged, nonchalantly.
A week after that night, Harry asked me to be his girlfriend. Being the lover I was, I said yes. We lasted for two months, going stronger even if I was getting hates, I didn't care. I just wanted to be with Harry, plus the lads were great to be with. One time, I wanted to pull a prank on them after they decided it would be fun to take my clothes when I was taking a shower.
Little did I know, I was the one being prank-ed.

Little did I know, I was the one who was going to be broken.
Life is funny, isn't it? Maybe, it's not life, it's just the people.
It's crazy how five words changed my life, completely. Changed me, completely.
"It was all a bet."
