It was the night of the Yule Ball, Severus was yet again forced into the occassion by Dumbledore. 'old fool' Snape thought.
He entered the Great hall and it was filled with lovesick students. He was in search of his assistant, (Y/N).
You were always a walking ray of sunshine at Hogwarts ever since you attended until now. Even as the world's grumpiest man's assistant, you were joyful as always.
You were over at the corner chatting with your bestfriend, Remus Lupin.
Severus spotted you, and jealousy took over him. He would be a fool to say that he wasn't falling for you.
You were the joy of his life, his light, his hero, his everything. He admired everything about you but never showed it or said it.
You looked gorgeous in a dress. You wore a bright yellow dress, sleeves hanging from your shoulders. You looked like a princess but not just any princess, but his princess.
Sadly he couldn't bring himself to confess his feelings for you, afraid that it would be unrequited. But that night was different, jealousy took over him as he watched you smile, laugh and dance with Remus.
He walked over to where you and Remus were standing, which is next to the stage where everyone can watch you.
Every step he took towards you was fueled by his anger and jealousy.
He grabbed your wrist, and harshly turned you around, crashing his lips to yours. Not to mention he did all those in front of everyone.
You heard gasps, but you couldn't care less. You immediately kissed him back. He expected you to pull away but when he felt you kissing back, his heart fluttered and stomach was swarming with butterflies.
He cupped your cheeks, caressing them as you two kiss passionately and sweetly.
You two pull away, ignoring all eyes on both of you. He rested his forehead against yours, smiling.
"I love you, (Y/N)" He said outloud. Ofcourse the music stopped at that moment so everyone heard the sweet confession.
Your eyes teared up with tears of joy,
"I love you too, Severus. I always have" You returned his feelings.
Severus was over the moon when he heard your angelic voice confess to him.
He kissed you once more, ignoring the cheers and claps that filled the room.
"I love you forever"

"Give me 30 galleons Minerva, I won" Dumbledore said, as him and Minerva watches You and Severus dance on the dance floor, eyes filled with love.
Minerva annoyingly handed him the money.
After the war, you and Severus got married and lived a happy life♡
