hello sluts! (if you're new here, this is a thing. get used to it, and welcome to the family).
i'm having a bit of writers block on 17 black, so my dumb self decided to start something new for you, giving me another story to be undoubtedly stressed about in the near future. (i'm not stopping 17, just wanted to write this idea down before it inevitably got lost in my swamp pit of a brain).
it's a boarding school fic, which i hope you'll like because a lot of you guys have asked me to write one. i honestly have no idea what the actual story of the book is though, so please message me with suggestions so i don't drive myself to insanity :p
love u sluts (in a nice way)

_______"Would you just stop obsessing over it already, mate?" Zayn groans as they walk down the hall. Louis shakes his head, looking completely offended.
"No, Zayn, I won't," he says bluntly, his annoyance showing through his words. "He stole that answer from me! Nobody even bothered to raise their hand until I said the answer."
"Right- but you said the wrong answer," Zayn points out, raising his hands in surrender as Louis glares.
"Hardly!" Louis exclaims dramatically. "I said that Edgar Allan Poe's piece was called 'The Ravens', and then Harry decided to open his big mouth and say it's called 'The Raven', as if there's even a difference."
"There is a difference, though," Zayn says matter-of-factly. "That being that one answer is singular and the other one isn't. Apparently it makes for quite the argument in a senior English class, so they must be different enough for a debate as serious as such."
"Stop talking like that."
"Like what?"
"Like you spend your free time reading encyclopedias," Louis huffs, squinting slightly as the lighting becomes brighter when they walk into a common room. He heads straight for a coffee machine, not needing to give the idea of caffeine a second thought. Studying Poe's life and famous work has not only given him a wrong answer to say in class, but also sleep deprivation.
"I don't spend my free time reading encyclopedias," Zayn says, furrowing his eyebrows. Louis sighs, giving his friend a small smile.
"I know you don't spend your free time reading encyclopedias-"
"I spend my free time reading much less boring things," Zayn interrupts.
"I know you read less boring things-"
"And I'm on the footie team."
"I'm aware of that, Z-"
"So are you."
"Hence me saying that I'm aware of your being on the team, Zayn," Louis rushes out, narrowly avoiding being cut off again as Zayn opens his mouth to continue. "I was kidding. Inhale and exhale, yeah?"
Zayn rolls his eyes, seeming to dismiss Louis' lecture on how the act of breathing works. "You're irritating."
"You love me," Louis says, taking a sip of coffee. He hands Zayn a cup, who nods his appreciation.
"You're still annoying."
"And yet you love me anyway," Louis grins, pinching Zayn's cheek. Zayn scowls, batting Louis' hand away from his face.
