Screenplay

After all the fiasco that happens in the college, a lost Anokhi comes back to her hostel room. Absolutely confused with what has happened, she tries calling Shaurya. Shaurya on the other hand is on his way to Patiala. He is absolutely clueless about the happenings. While he is driving, he receives a call from Anokhi.
Anokhi : Hello.
Shaurya : Hello Mrs. Sabherwal. (Excited) Kya baat hai aaj aapne phone kiya woh bhi iss waqt! Aaj lecture nahi hai?
Anokhi : (Panicked) Shaurya kaha ho tum? Mujhe tumse bohot important baat karni hai abhi.
Shaurya : (Drives in a rush as there is some issue on the road.) Anokhi main Patiala jaa raha hoon. Abhi drive kar raha hoon. (Teasing) Waise PS se sidhe Shaurya. I like this change. (Getting back to the topic)Acha batao na kya hua sab thik hai? Tum itni panic kyu kar rahi ho?
Meanwhile Anokhi is tense. She is unable to understand how she should react. Gets back to the call.
Anokhi : (In mind "Yeh abhi drive kar raha hai ise iss waqt pareshan karna thik nahi hoga.)Nahi sab thik hai. Panic nahi kar rahi. Bas tumhari yaad aa rahi thi na isliye aur kuch nahi.
Shaurya : Okay so Mrs. Sabherwal apne husband ko miss kar rahi hai. Interesting. Waise miss to main bhi tumhe kar raha hoon. Kaho toh wapas aa jau?
Anokhi : (Murmurs) Kash aa jate.
Shaurya : (Trying to understand what she said) Kuch kaha tumne?
Anokhi : Na.. Nahi maine kuch nahi kaha. Tumhare kaan baj rahe hai. Tum jao Patiala. Kaam se jaa rahe ho na. Jaldi se kaam khatam karke wapas aa jana. Main intezaar karungi.
Shaurya : (Now aware of something being fishy) Dekho Anokhi main janta hoon kuch toh baat hai jo tumhe karni hai mujhse. Tum bata sakti ho mujhe. Afterall main husband hoon tumhara. You can share with me.
Anokhi : Arey maine kaha na tumse, koi baat nai hai. Tum jao aram se. Yaha ki fikar mat karo main sab sambhal lungi. Tum bas jaldi wapas aa jana.
Shaurya : Anokhi sach batao kya hua hai? Kya sambhal logi tum? (Parks his cars at the roadside.)
Anokhi : (Trying to change the topic) Aur waise tumne bataya kyu nahi mujhe ki tum jaa rahe ho?
Shaurya : (Getting her back) Dekho Anokhi main janta hoon my family is up to something, tum please batao mujhe kya hua hai? (Frustrated) Please for god's sake damn it speak up.
Anokhi : (Becomes emotional and with a heavy voice) Shaurya, meri baat dhyan se sunna. Please react mat karna abhi. College mein sab students ko pata chal gaya hai humari shaadi ke bare mein.
Shaurya : (Taken Aback) What? Kaise? Aur kab hua yeh? (Hits the tyre of the car in frustration) Isliye bade papa ne mujhe itne urgently Patiala bheja. Main college aa raha tha tumse milne. But mujhe aane nahi diya aur yeh sab.
Anokhi : Shaurya mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai kya karu... Aur tum bhi nahi ho yaha. But koi baat nahi. Tum fikar mat karo. Tum shanti se Patiala jao main yaha sambhal lungi. Bas jaldi se wapas aa jana. Main intezaar karungi.
Shaurya : Nahi main nahi jaa raha Patiala. Main abhi wapas aa raha hoon. Tum yeh sab akele kaise handle karogi? Problem hum dono ki hai na... Ise sort bhi hum milke hi karenge. Main aa raha hoon wapas.
Anokhi : Maine kaha hai na tumse tum kuch react nahi karoge. Tum jao Patiala, kaam bhi toh zaroori hai na.. Maine kaha na main kar lungi manage.
Shaurya : Acha batao. Kya karogi tum? Kaise karogi?
Anokhi : Woh toh main nahi janti but kar lungi kuch na kuch.
Shaurya : Pagal ho gayi ho kya Anokhi? Tum nahi janti meri family ko. Woh kuch bhi kar sakte hai. (Concerned) Main tumhe iss situation mein akele nahi chod sakta.
Anokhi : (In a high tone) Aur tum batao tumhare pass koi raasta hai? Kya karne wale ho yaha aake yeh socha hai tumne?
Shaurya : (Calmed voice) Socha toh nahi hai but figure out kar leta na kuch...
Anokhi : (Calmed tone) Dekho Shaurya, meri baat suno... (Trying to make him understand) Jo hona tha woh ho chuka hai. Galti hum dono ki hai. Humne rules breach kiye hai. Abhi yaha pe jo bhi hoga main handle kar lungi. Tum shanti se jao aur apna kaam pura karo. Main sambhal lungi. Agar mujhe tumhari zaroorat hogi toh main phone kar lungi aur mujhe pata hai tum aaoge.
Shaurya : (Not convinced though) Thik hai... Apna khayal rakhna please...
Anokhi : Ha tum fikar mat karo. Tum bhi apna khayal rakhna. Main raah dekhungi tumhari. Bas jyada intezar mat karwana.
Shaurya : Hmmm (Hangs the call).
Here Anokhi is clueless about what would happen next.
Anokhi : (To herself) Shaurya ko toh tune yaha aane se rok liya Nikki par socha hai aage kya hoga? Tu akele yeh sab kaise manage kar payegi?
There is a knock at her door. She is confused as to who would come to visit her in this situation. She thinks it might be Reema. She heads towards the door to open it.
Peon : Anokhi Bhalla tumhare liye ye letter aaya hai board ki taraf se. Tumhe abhi bulaya hai milne hai Tej sir ne.
Anokhi : (Confused) Par hai kya iss letter mein?
Peon : Woh toh mujhe nahi pata. Bas aap ko turant milne bulaya hai.
Anokhi : Thik hai aap chaliye main aati hoon.
Anokhi comes inside her room. She is taken aback to open the letter she has received. It is a rustication letter from the management. By now all the courage that she had gathered starts losing. She breaks down. Cries her heart out. All she could remember was how difficult a journey she had and now when she was stepping towards success this rustication had pulled her back and thrown again to where she had begun. With great difficulty she gathers herself. Washes her face and goes to meet the management.
She enters the cabin.
Tej : Aao Miss Anokhi Bhalla, ya Mrs Anokhi Sabherwal... Kya kahe tumhe? Hein Alok tum hi batao kya bulaye abhi ise?
Alok : Main toh kehta hoon bhaisahab yeh iss jaisi ladki ke naam ke aage humare khandan ka naam suit bhi nahi karta. Iske liye toh ji Bhalla hi thik hai.
Anokhi : (Cuts them both in between) Sir kya main jaan sakti hoon mujhe yaha kyu bulaya hai? Aur yeh rustication letter kis baat ke liye diya gaya hai?
Tej : Alok jara batana madam ko ki kyu rusticate kiya jaa raha hai inhe. Bohot bholi hai na bichari janti nahi hai.
Alok : (Gets the rule book) Padhna likhna to aata hai na tumhe. Lo padho yeh. Yaha saaf saaf likha hai ki student aur teacher ke beech mein koi bhi irresponsible, ya personal relationship nahi ho sakta.
Anokhi reads the rules.
Tej : Waise to hamesha tumhe sab pata hai aise dikhati ho na tum, toh college mein admission lene ke pehle tumne yeh rules nahi padhe the? Tumne yeh rules breach kiye hai isliye tumhe rusticate kiya jaa raha hai.
Anokhi : (Firmly) Aap mujhe rusticate nahi kar sakte.
Alok : Ae ladki kya bol rahi ho tum? Padha na tumne abhi, rules mein kya likha hai? Samajh nahi aaya kya? Koi baat nahi main explain kar deta hoon.
Anokhi : Abhi aap hi ne kaha na Tej sir ki mujhe sab pata hota hai. Toh iss rule ke bare mein bhi mujhe ache se pata hai, aur main pehle se janti hoon. Aur agar iss rule ke basis pe aap mujhe rusticate karna chahte hai toh woh aap nahi kar sakte.
Alok : Bhaisahab mujhe na lagta hai iss bichari ko itna bada sadma laga hai ki yeh samajh nahi paa rahi hai kya bol rahi hai.
Anokhi : Sir, main samajh bhi rahi hoon aur dekh bhi rahi hoon aap kya karne aur kehne ki koshish kar rahe hai. Par aap kuch bhi kar le aap mujhe aise rusticate nahi kar sakte.
Tej : Kyu bhai jara hume bhi batao kyu nahi kar sakte rusticate hum tumhe?
Anokhi : Sir rule book mein yeh saaf saaf likha hai ki kisi bhi student aur teacher ke beech koi bhi irresponsible relationship nahi ho sakta. Meri Shaurya sir se shaadi hui hai aur koi bhi law ya rule shaadi jaisse rishte ko irresponsible define nahi kar sakta. Aur jaha tak student aur teacher ke personal relationship ka sawal hai toh Shaurya sir mere teacher hai hi nahi. Agar aap bhool gaye ho toh aap ko main yeh yaad dilana chahungi ki Shaurya sir iss institution se as a professor resign kar chuke hai toh technically woh mere teacher nahi hai. Aur sir bas yehi dono wajah hai ki aap chahe kitni bhi koshish kar lo aap mujhe rusticate nahi kar sakte.
Alok : (In his mind, parjaiji ne jitna socha tha yeh ladki toh usse bhi kayi jyada tezz nikli)
Tej : Dekho Miss Bhalla, yeh jo rules hai na, yeh humne banaye hai. Toh tumhe yeh rules hume samjhane ki ya batane ki zaroorat nahi hai samjhi na. Tumhe rustication letter mil chuka hai, abhi apna hostel room khali karo aur jao yaha se.
Shaurya : (Enters the Cabin) Anokhi kahi nahi jayegi.
Everyone is shocked to see him in the cabin. Anokhi's eyes sparkle and with tears in her eyes she looks at him with a sense of relief as well as a surprise.
Shaurya : Aap Anokhi ko aise nahi nikal sakte.
Tej : Shaurya tum iss institution ka itna purana hissa ho tumhe bhi khayal nahi aaya rules ka?
Shaurya : Bade papa maine aur Anokhi ne koi bhi rule nahi toda hai. Jaise ki Anokhi ne kaha abhi humare beech koi bhi irresponsible ya student teacher wala relationship nahi hai.
Tej : Dekho Shaurya yeh Sabherwal's ki izzat ka sawal hai. Humari barso ki reputation stake par hai.
Shaurya : Bade papa pyaar karta hoon main Anokhi se aur ussi se shaadi bhi ki hai. Mujhe nahi lagta isme kisi ki izzat ka ya reputation ka koi sawal hai. Aur ek aur baat... Maine subah jane se pehle aap se kaha tha na, mere absence mein yaha koi bhi galat kaam nahi hona chahiye, fir aapne yeh sab kyu kiya? (Disgusted) Mujhe aap se yeh ummed nahi thi.
Tej : Yeh kya leh rahe ho tum Shaurya. Tumne kabhi socha hai bahar yeh news leak hui toh humari kitni badnami hogi? Log toh yehi kahenge na Sabherwal institute ke director ne student se favour liye aur student ne awaz uthai toh majbooran shaadi karni padi.
Shaurya : (Angry) Bas bade Papa... Bohot ho gaya... Ab main Anokhi ke khilaf ek shabd nahi sunn sakta. Aap samajh rahe hai aap kya leh rahe hai? Maine na toh Anokhi se koi favour liya hai na hi usse koi zabardasti ki hai. Hum dono ek dusre se pyaar karte hai, aur isliye humne shaadi kar li bas. Aur yehi sach hai. Mujhe nahi farak padta log kya sochte hai.
Tej : Dekho Shaurya tum samajhne ki koshish karo...
Shaurya : (Cuts him in between) Main achi tarah samajh raha hoon aap kya kehne ki koshish kar rahe hai. Lekin aap Anokhi ko rusticate nahi kar sakte.
Tej : Action toh hume lena hoga Shaurya. Agar tum chahte ho ki tumhari yeh student jisko tum apni biwi kehte ho abhi, isse agar rusticate nahi kiya jaye toh hume tumhare khilaf action lena hoga.
Everyone is shocked after hearing what Tej said. Shaurya and Anokhi both couldn't believe their ears. Alok was confused.
Shaurya : (Shocked) Mujhe pata tha aap log kuch na kuch karoge. But iss had tak jaoge yeh nahi socha tha. Yehi kiya tha na aapne 25 saal pehle Dad aur Aastha Sabherwal ke sath?
Tej : (Taken Aback) Yeh kya bol raha hai tu? Tujhe tere shabd sunai de rahe hai?
Shaurya : Main shayad puri baat nahi janta par abhi mujhe thoda thoda samajh aane laga hai ki 25 saal pehle kya hua hoga? Dad ne shayad sunn liya hoga par main Dad nahi hoon... Main Anokhi ka sath nahi chodunga aur na hi uska career kharab hone dunga.
Anokhi looks at Shaurya with respect and tears in her eyes. Shaurya was her man. He had kept his promise. He didn't let anyone come in between her and her dreams. All she had was gratitude for him. Apart from this she was also surprised to see Shaurya stand firmly on his grounds against his family. She saw him fighting all the odds for the sake of their love. Tears slowly start rolling down her cheeks. Here Shaurya is absolutely angry at the act of his family. He had never thought one day would come when he would see the unveiling of the true face of his so-called family.
Shaurya : Thik hai.. Yehi chahate hai na aap toh yehi sahi. Main Sabherwal Institute ke director post se resign karta hoon.
Everyone in the room is shocked to hear his decision. Alok somewhere becomes happy as he would now have a chance to become the director. Tej has an evil smile on his face. Anokhi feared thinking Shaurya once again had behaved impulsively.
Shaurya meanwhile writes the resignation letter, signs it and keeps it on the table.
Shaurya : Yeh raha mera resignation. Abhi mera aur Sabherwal institute ka koi connection nahi. Abhi toh aapko koi problem nahi hogi na mere aur Anokhi ke rishte se? Now I don't think you have any reason to rusticate my wife from this institution Mr. Tej Sabherwal.
Tej : Dekh Shaurya maine nahi kaha hai tujhe resign karne.. Tune khud apni marzi se kiya hai. Isliye main yeh accept karta hoon.
After accepting the resignation, Shaurya walks out of the cabin holding Anokhi's hand. Angst in his eyes and partially shattered knowing the true face of his family now. Anokhi is trying to gather herself and understand the situation. They both move to her hostel room. After they enter, Anokhi locks the door and she goes mad at Shaurya.
Anokhi : Yeh kya kiya tumne Shaurya? Ek baar impulsive hoke shaadi kar li aur abhi yeh resignation. Tumhe kisne kaha tha yeh sab karne? Kyu aaye tum wapas? Maine mana kiya tha na tumhe..
Shaurya : (High tone) Ha toh aise hi chod deta tumhe iss haal mein? Dekha nahi kya kar rahe the woh log? Tumhe rusticate kar rahe the. Tumhara career barbaad kar rahe the. (Cooled a bit) Come on Anokhi pyaar karta hoon main tumse. Promise kiya hai maine tumhe ki tumhare aur tumhare sapno ke beech kisi ko ane nahi dunga. Bas kehne ke liye nahi kehta main yeh. Sach mein feel karta hoon tumhare liye aur apna har promise nibhana janta hoon.
Anokhi hugs Shaurya. She breaks down in his arms. They both cry their hearts out. Completely drenched in emotions they find solace in each other's arms.
Till today no one had fought for Anokhi in a way Shaurya did and never had Shaurya understood what kind of family he had. They both found peace within each other.
After crying, Shaurya calms Anokhi. He consoles her and makes her sit on the bed. He goes and gets some water for her and makes her drink, even Anokhi makes him drink water and they both try to calm down.
Anokhi : Yeh sab kya ho gaya Shaurya? Kya chahate the hum apni zindagi se aur yeh kya ho gaya... (Tears roll down her cheeks)
Shaurya : (Wipes her tears) Shhhh rona mat. Aaj se tumhare rone ke din hamesha ke liye khatam. Aaj se tum bas muskuraogi aur main duniya ki har khushi tumhe dunga. Tumhe muskurane ki har ek wajah dunga.
A drop of tear lies in the corner of his eye and while he is about to wipe it Anokhi notices and she wipes it.
Anokhi : Mujhe keh rahe ho rona mat aur khud... Yeh aise...
Shaurya : (Tries joking and teasing) Ha abhi kya karu meri biwi itna rulati hai.
Anokhi : (Smiles and gets offended) Main... Main rulati hoon... Kuch bhi..
They both smile and hug each other again. While in his arms Anokhi asks him
Anokhi : Tumne mera rustication toh rukwa diya Shaurya aur khud resign bhi kar diya, but abhi iske aage kya? Kuch socha hai kya karne wale ho?
Shaurya : Main nahi janta Anokhi. Uss waqt mere dimag mein bas yehi tha ki mujhe tumhara rustication rukwane hai. Aur maine bas wohi kiya. Aage ka bhi dekhenge kuch na kuch ho hi jayega.
Anokhi : (Annoyed and moves away from his arms) Dekha isliye main kehti hu itne juzzbati kyu ho jate ho tum? Bilkul sochte nahi ho. Bas man mein aaya kar diya. Shaurya aise nahi chalta... Tumhe...
While she is about to speak there is a knock at their door. Anokhi is about to go
Shaurya : (Stops her) Ruko main dekhta hoon.
Shaurya opens the door. There is a peon at the door.
Shaurya : Ha bolo kya hua?
Peon : Sir woh Tej sir ne kaha hai...
Shaurya : Kya kaha hai?
Peon : Anokhi Bhalla ko abhi ke abhi yeh hostel room khali karna hoga.
Anokhi is shocked. She comes there.
Shaurya : Kya bol rahe ho tum? Aur kyu khali karna hai?
Peon : Sir unka kehna hai ki yeh room unhe galti se allot kiya tha aur abhi yeh yaha nahi reh sakti.
Shaurya : Galti se? Aise kaise galti se? Yeh maine khud allot kiya hai. Chalo tum main ata hoon dekhne.
He sends off the peon. Turn to Anokhi.
Shaurya : Tum fikar mat karo main dekh ke ata hoon.
Shaurya goes to meet Tej. This time he has completely lost it. Losing all his cool he enters Tej's cabin.
Shaurya : Main janta tha aap mere resignation ka aisa hi koi fayda uthaoge. Kya aap mujhe yeh bata sakte hai ki kis basis pe aapne mere allot kiye gaye hostel room ko galat allotment bataya hai?
Tej : Shaurya tum apne bade papa se baat kar rahe ho. Lihaj rakho iss baat ka ki maine uss ladki ko hostel se nikala hai aur college se nahi.
Shaurya : Ohhh toh aap bas badla lena chahte hai. Toh shaadi maine ki hai na uss ladki se, toh saza toh mujhe bhi milni chahiye uss bichare ne kya bigada hai? Uski maang mein sindoor maine bhara. Use toh pata bhi nahi tha main aisa kuch karne wala hoon. Kis baat se problem hai aapko Mr. Tej Sabherwal?
Shaan enters the cabin and hears Shaurya talking to Tej in a high pitch. Tej sees Shaan coming and taunts.
Tej : Dekh rahe ho Shaan itne saal maine tumhare bete ko apna samajh ke pala, ise posa, iss kabil banaya ki yeh apna naam bana sake aur aaj yeh sila mila hai mujhe.
Shaurya : Maanta hoon aap ne mujh pe bohot bada ehsaan kiya hai iska matlab yeh nahi ki aap mujhe control kar sakte ho.
Shaan : Tameez se baat karo Shaurya...
Shaurya : Tameez toh aap mujhe na hi sikhaye toh behtar hoga Dad... Waise hi pichale 25 saalon mein aap ne kya hi sikhaya hai mujhe? Kya kiya hai aapne mere liye. Shayad 25 saal pehle khud ke liye aur apni biwi ke liye stand liya hota toh aaj mujhe kisi ke ehsaan ke bojh tale nahi rehna padta.
Everyone is shocked to see Shaurya react in such a manner. Never had they seen such a rebellious side of him. Shaurya had always been that respectful kid and someone who listened to his elders but today he was as fierce as fire.
Shaan : (Scolding) Shaurya bas karo... Tum kuch nahi jante 25 saal pehle kya hua tha...
Shaurya : (In a high pitch) Ha nahi janta kyuki aapne kabhi batane ki koshih hi nahi ki Dad? Aur abhi mujhe janna bhi nahi hai. You know main hamesha aap se kehta tha na humare rishte mein baap kaun hai aur beta kaun yeh pata hi nahi chalta... Kyuki aap ne kabhi baap hone ka koi farz nibhaya hi nahi. Na kabhi aap apne liye stand le sake na mere liye. Aur agar aap ko apne baap hone ka koi hak aaj jatana hi hai na toh rok ke dikhayiye yeh jo bhi kuch Anokhi ke sath ho raha hai. Apna ghar toh bacha nahi paye kamse kam apne bete ka hi bachane ki koshish kar li jiye.
Shaan is taken aback. He is clueless and doesn't know how to react to what Shaurya had said. Shaurya merely stated facts and Shaan couldn't deny either of them. He had always been a coward and ran away from responsibilities. Today his son had given him a reality check.
Shaan : (Trying to convince Tej) Dekhiye bhai sahab Shaurya ne kuch galat nahi kaha hai. Aap aise Anokhi ko nahi nikal sakte. Anokhi ko hostel Shaurya ne allot kiya hai.
Tej : Oye Shaan tu apne bete ki baaton mein aake ye mat bhoolna ki iss insititution ke hostels unn logo ke liye hai jo dusre sheheron se aaye hai aur yaha rehna afford nahi kar sakte. Aur tere bete ne toh shaadi ki na usse. Toh iss hisab se toh woh bhi Sabherwal hui. Toh Sabherwal's ke paas toh koi kami nahi hai na paiso ki na jagah ki. Aur itna gurur hai na tere bete ko apni biwi pe toh isse bol ki kahi bhi intezaam kar le sheher mein rehne ka apni biwi ke liye.
Alok : Ha Shaan paa ji Tej bhai sahab bilkul thik keh rahe hai. Shaurya puttar tune Kitty Bebo se yeh kamra isliye nikalwa liya tha na kyuki unhe zaroorat nahi hai. Toh teri biwi ko bhi abhi nahi honi chahiye koi zaroorat.
Here on the other hand Anokhi is completely tensed. She has no idea of what is going on in the cabin and all she fears is Shaurya doesn't end up behaving in an impulsive manner. She is also worried that if Shaurya fails to convince them where would she go.
Here in Tej's cabin Shaan is trying to convince Tej but in vain as usual.
Shaurya : Thik hai Anokhi hostel mein nahi reh sakti na, use humare ghar leke aunga. Waise hi woh Mrs. Shaurya Sabherwal hai toh woh aaj se humare ghar mein mere sath rahegi meri biwi banke.
Tej : Nahi Shaurya puttar aisi galti katai na karna. Sabherwal House ke darwaze uss ladki ke liye kabhi nahi khul sakte. Uss ladki ko mere ghar mein koi jagah nahi milegi.
Shaurya knew this would happen, he could see it coming. Tej did not surprise him at all. Shaurya leaves his cabin and angrily moves towards Anokhi's hostel. He knocks on the door. Anokhi opens it, and he gets in. Anokhi knows by now something has gone wrong and that's the reason Shaurya is angry.
Anokhi : Kya hua Shaurya? Kya kaha unhone? Tumne firse kuch kiya kya?
Shaurya : Anokhi apna saman bandho abhi.
Anokhi : (Confused) Hein? Saman bandhu? Par jaana kaha hai? Yeh room mujhse cheen liya hai kya? Kuch toh batao?
Shaurya : (Frustrated) Maine kaha na tumse tum saman bandho. Tumhari samajh mein nahi aati kya ek baar kahi hui baat? (He goes to the cupboard and starts removing things.) Suitcase kaha hai?
Anokhi : Shaurya kya kar rahe ho tum bataoge mujhe?
Shaurya : (Shouts) Suitcase kaha hai?
Anokhi : (Scared and confused) Ha deti hoon.
She hands him the suitcase.
Shaurya : Yeh lo jaldi saman bharo aur chalo yaha se.
Anokhi tries packing everything. She knew Shaurya was frustrated and thus avoided further confrontations and agreed to whatever he asked her to do. After packing all her things from the hostel he holds her bag in one hand and with the other hand in her hand he takes her along.
They both get into his car and Shaurya is driving her. Anokhi is still unaware of where they are heading.
Shaurya brings her to Sabherwal House. Anokhi is surprised.
Anokhi : Shaurya yeh kaha leke aaye ho tum mujhe?
Shaurya : Sabherwal House, tumhare apne ghar, tumhare sasural.
Anokhi : Shaurya tum jante ho tum kya kar rahe ho? Tumhari family mujhe kabhi accept nahi karegi.
Shaurya gets out of the car and comes to open the door on the other side.
Shaurya : (Offering his hand to Anokhi) Aao. Tum pehli baar aayi ho na yaha. Aao ache se dekh lo iss ghar ko, shayad yeh pehli baar akhiri baar ho.
Anokhi : (Confused) Yeh kya keh rahe ho tum?
Shaurya : Kuch nahi chalo andar tumhe ghar dikhata hoon.
They enter the house. Kanchan and Gayatri are sitting in the living room. They are surprised to see both of them together here. Devi comes downstairs. She is shocked.
Gayatri : Shaurya? Arey tum aa rahe the isko leke toh mujhe pehle bata diya hota na main tayari karke rakhti. (Turns to Kanchan) Kanchan jao jaldi pooja ki thali leke aao. Anokhi pehli baar ghar aayi hai.
As Kanchan is about to move, Devi stops her.
Devi : Ruko Kanchan, koi zaroorat nahi hai aarti lane ki. Aise airon gairon ki aarti Sabherwals nahi utarte.
Shaurya looks at Devi with disgrace. He knew what would come next.
Shaurya : Rehne do chachi. Iss formality ko koi zaroorat nahi hai. Waise bhi yeh kaunsa mera ghar hai.
Everyone is shocked to hear this from Shaurya.
Shaurya : Bas naam ke aage Sabherwal laga lene se main iss family ka hissa nahi ban jaunga. Mujhe aaj tak iss family ne kabhi apna mana hi nahi toh meri biwi ko kaha apanyenge.
Gayatri : Aisi koi baat nahi hai Shaurya. Tum aisa kyu keh rahe ho?
Kanchan : Sach hi toh keh rahe hai Shaurya bhaiya, mummy ji.
Devi : (Looks at Kanchan with anger) Tumhe toh main baad mein dekhti hoon. (Turns to Shaurya with control) Yeh kya keh rahe ho tum Shaurya? Tum mere bete ho. Iss ghar ke bade bete ho.
Shaurya : Main bas naam ka beta hoon, aur main kya hoon yeh main abhi abhi dekh ke aa raha hoon. So please. (He holds Anokhi's hand and enters inside) Aao Anokhi main tumhe yeh ghar dikhata hoon. Dekhne mein jitna khubsoorat hai kash utna hi acha bhi hota.
Anokhi is unaware of what had happened so harshly thatShaurya was talking about his own family with such disgrace.
She accompanies him. He takes her on tour of the huge mansion. Anokhi feels somewhat delighted seeing the excitement with which Shaurya is showing her his house. At the end they arrive at his room. Anokhi now forgets all the fiasco for a moment and is excited to see the room she would share with Shaurya.
Shaurya : Toh Mrs. Sabherwal (Comes close to her and whispers in her ears) Kaisa laga apna kamra?
Anokhi : (With sparkling eyes) Bahut sundar hai.
Shaurya comes a bit closer to her and holds her from her back. Pulls her towards him and kisses her on her forehead.
Shaurya : (In a composed manner) Anokhi (Holds her from her neck in a caring manner) Main hamehsa se tumhe iss ghar mein laana chahta tha, meri biwi bana ke, but socha nahi tha kabhi ki aisa kuch karna padega.
Anokhi : Kya hua hai Shaurya? (Concerned) Sab thik hai na? Main kabse dekh rahi hoon tum mujhe thik nahi lag rahe ho.
Shaurya : Anokhi main tumhe yaha nahi rakh sakta aur hostel se bhi tumhe nikal diya hai. Aur main tumhe iss haal mein akela nahi chod sakta. Main Sabherwal House hamesha hamesha ke chod ke jaa raha hoon, aur aaj se tum mere sath rahogi.
Anokhi : Nahi Shaurya main tumhe aisa nahi karne dungi. Tum apni family ko chod ke aise nahi aa sakte.
Shaurya : Kaunsi family ki baat kar rahi ho tum? Yeh jo mujhe apna mante hi nahi hai? Mera pariwar tum ho Anokhi aur ghar waha jaha tum mere sath raho. Maine faisla kar liya hai. Hum yaha nahi rahenge.
Anokhi : (Trying to make him understand) Shaurya meri baat suno. (She makes him sit on the bed) Mujhe batao kaha jayenge hum? (Holding his hand in hers) Main toh kuch na kuch figure kar lungi par tum? (She cups his face in her hand and makes him realise the situation) Mujhe aadat hai Shaurya main kahi bhi adjust kar lungi. Par tumhara kya? Main tumhe aise nahi dekh sakti. Tum samajhne ki koshish karo.
Shaurya : (Holds her hand) Main samajh raha hoon Anokhi aur main janta hoon main kya kar raha hoon. Main tumhare liye zindagi mein har cheez compromise kar sakta bas tumhara career compromise nahi kar sakta. Tum chalo yaha se. (Gets up from the bed and goes to a corner hiding the pain and tears in his eyes) Bahut bada hai Chandigarh. Kahi na kahi rehne ka intezaam ho hi jayega, (Wipes his tears) aur abhi toh mujhe nayi job bhi dhoondhani hai. (Smiles with tears in his eyes) Apna ghar bhi chalana padega na...
Anokhi : (With tears in her eyes and seeing the kind of efforts he is taking for her career and keeping his love with him) Haan main bhi koi na koi kaam kar lungi part time.
It is an emotional moment for both of them. With tears in their eyes they look at each other with gratitude and happiness to have found each other. They feel blessed to have home in a person and that both of them were equally struggling to keep their love together. They hug each other, melt in each other's arms.
After this hug Shaurya starts packing his bags. Anokhi helps him. They come downstairs. Devi, Kanchan, Gayatri and Shaan are in the living room. Everyone is looking confused as they don't know what Shaurya ws upto. Shaurya comes down holding Anokhi's hand.
Devi : Ek minute Shaurya... Kaha jaa rahe ho tum?
Shaurya : Main yeh ghar chod ke hamesha hamesha ke liye jaa raha hoon.
Everyone is shocked to know this decision.
Devi : Shaurya tumkahi nahi jaa rahe. Main tumhe kahi nahi jane dungi. Yeh mat bhoolo ki tum Sabherwal ho. Tumhe apni family ki reputation ka zara bhi khayal nahi hai. Kisi airi gairi...
Shaurya : (Cuts her in between) Mind your language badi Anokhi naam hai iska. Airi gairi nahi hai woh, biwi hai meri. Shaadi ki hai maine isse. Aur woh bhi ek Sabherwal hai.
Devi : (Shocked) Shaurya, tum apni badi maa se aise baat kar rahe ho?
Shaurya : I'm sorry badi maa but aap meri wife ki aise insult nahi kar sakte. Aur jaha meri wife ko respect nahi mil sakta main waha nahi reh sakta.
Saying this he leaves the house along with Anokhi. Everyone in the house is taken aback. Shaurya had been a changed man now. He was no longer who would listen and respect everything his foster parents asked him to do just because he was indebted to them. He had realised by how he was always made realised that he was abandoned and unwanted by his parents. And today he was planning to start a new life with someone who loved him without conditions. Who accepted him the way he was and happy to have him by her side.
They come out of the house and Shaan follows them.
Shaan : (Shouts) Shaurya ruko... Meri baat suno.
Both Shaurya and Anokhi stop. They turn behind to see Shaan following them.
Shaurya : Kya hua Dad? Aap aise humare piche kyu aa rahe hai?
Shaan : Mujhe tumse kuch baat karni hai.
Shaurya : Agar aap mujhe wapas aane ke liye keh rahe hai toh I'm sorry Dad main waha wapas nahi jaa sakta.
Shaan : Main tumhe rokne ya wapas le jane ke liye nahi aaya Shaurya. Main tumse maafi mangne aaya hoon. I'm sorry Shaurya. Tumne bilkul thik kaha. 25 saal pehle agar maine apna farz nibhaya hota toh tumhe aaj Bhaisahab aur Bhabhi ke ehsaano ke tale dabna na padta. Main tumhara gunahgar hoon Shaurya. Ho sake toh mujhe maaf kar dena.
Shaurya : (Gets emotional) Dad please, yeh kya keh rahe hai aap. In fact I'm sorry maine aap se aise baat nahi karni chahiye thi. Maine jo kuch bhi kaha gusse mein kaha.
Shaan : Magar jo kaha woh sach hi toh tha na. Maine aaj tak tumhare liye kuch nahi kiya. Aur aaj bhi main kuch nahi kar paya.
Shaurya : It's okay Dad. Main iss ghar se apne sath kuch nahi le jaa raha, regrets bhi nahi. Don't worry I don't carry any regrets.
Shaan : Mera beta kab itna samajhdar ho gaya mujhe pata hi nahi chala.
Shaurya smiles at this sentence of his father. Anokhi is looking at both of them. She is trying to understand the equation these two share.
Shaan : Par tum jaoge kaise? Apni gaadi bhi toh yehi chod ke jaa rahe ho? Kamse kam woh toh leke jao?
Shaurya : Dad woh gaadi meri nahi Sabhwerwals ki hai. Aur maine kaha na aap se, main kuch bhi sath nahi leke jana chahta.
Shaan : Jaisa tumhe thik lage... Aur tum rahoge kaha?
Shaurya : Dad Chandigarh bahut bada hai. Kahi na kahi dekh lenge.
Shaan : Shaurya, maine aaj tak baap hone ka koi farz pura nahi kiya. Aaj ek mauka doge mujhe? Please?
Shaurya : Dad please aise mat kahiye. Haa bataiye na kya karna chahte hai aap?
Shaan : (Takes out the keys from his pockets) Tum mere flat pe jake raho.
Shaurya : Nahi Dad woh aapka flat hai, hum waha kaise reh sakte hai?
Shaan : Kyu? Baap ki cheezon pe bete ka hak nahi hota? Dekho agar tum yeh accept kar loge toh mujhe lagega tumne mujhe maaf kar diya.
Shaurya is confused. He looks at Anokhi and she nods in yes with teary eyes.
Shaurya : Thik hai Dad aap kehte hai toh yeh rakh leta hoon.
Both Shaurya and Anokhi touch Shaan's feet to take his blessings. He blesses them and feels happy for the fact that what he couldn't do in the past 25 years his son had done. His son not just fought for his love but also stood by his love firmly.
Shaan : Khush raho dono. Anokhi, khayal rakhna apna bhi aur mere bete ka bhi.
Anokhi : Ji Shaan sir.
Shaan : Sir nahi bete, Dad kaho.
Anokhi : (Emotional) Ji Dad... Aap bhi apna khayal rakhna.
And both Shaurya and Anokhi live together in Shaan's flat.
