" VINNIE?" she looked at him with a confused look as he stood infront of her door with an awkward smile on his face " surprise" he lets out an fake monotonous laughter while the girl looked at him with a straight face " what are you doing here?" she asked the boy who rubbed his neck " can't i just surprise my girlfriend?" he wiggled his eyebrows at the still unamused girl.

" honey, just let him in" the girls mother nagged from the dining table, " yeah honey let me in" he copied and eventually, the blonde headed female lets the boy into her home.

" this is a really nice plac- oh! i'm Vincent, nice to meet you" his tone changed as he introduced himself to Maia's mother, she smiled and gladly shook the boys hand— Maia gave him an uncomfortable and awkward smile, she quickly walked into the kitchen and grabbed a cup of water for herself,of course.

Vinnie and Maia's mother talked and vinnie was doing a good job with his first impression. Maia could tell that her mother already loved Vinnie — " Vincent, can i ask you for a favour?" Mrs Scooter asked the boy who nods his head " please take care of my dear Maia" she had a warm smile on her face. Embarrassed maia cleared her throat " i can take care of myself and Luke always comes over, so-" she gets cut off by the older lady " Promise me,Vincent?" she looked at the boy who nods his head again, " of course, Mrs Scooter".

Just then, Vinnie had déjà vu. He looked at Maia " can we talk?" he mouthed and signalled to the door which the girl understood so they both headed outside to the porch. The cold night breeze brushing against their skin just like on their first day, Maia looked at the boy who was deep in his thoughts " d-do you think this is stupid?" he asked her in a soft tone, the girl chuckled " of course, two days to move on from someone who you love truly, someone who has your heart and someone you wanted to marry? Vinnie, of course i think this is stupid but its just like every other bet. All bets are stupid."

" Maia, I came to your house today because i made a mistake okay? this whole bet there's a deeper meaning to it." He blurted out, the girl looked at him with her eyes filled with confusion not saying a word but you could tell she was confused, she had no idea what he was talking about.

" my friends and I made a bet too, it was about you" his response caused the girl to fire up, " what about- no dont even tell me,"

" maia, we were jok-" she cuts him off " you dont joke around about a women like that, do I look like a fucking object to you? what you were gonna have me wrapped around your finger, fuck me then tell you friends about how good or how bad it was? about how i was in bed?" She argued

" It wasn't me who made the bet. I had nothing to do with it" he tried to defend himself which obviously failed when she fought back with " did you defend me? did you stand up for me or yourself?"

obvious answer no, Vinnie didnt have to say anything because she already knew and the answer was written all over his face anyway.

" you should probably tell my mom that you wont be able to keep your promise,i dont want her getting betrayed again" she walked back into her house.

Vinnie walked back inside the house as the girl ran up the stairs and slamming her door shut, " Mrs scooter, i have to go. I'll see you soon" he smiled and left.
