Rose's POV

The ambulance came within a a small while of being called. The paramedics came out and told me that they would be taking it from there. They knelt down and confirmed she was dead. I already knew she was dead. They would probably take her to the hospital morgue and find out what she died from. I was pretty sure it was a heart attack but of course I couldn't tell them that since they would ask how I knew and I wouldn't be able to explain without sounding crazy. Instead I turned to one of the older teachers who I knew would be taking charge for the time being. "I think we should send everyone home." I whispered.

"Who asked you? You are a fired secretary. Technically you don't even work here." He sneered.

I was really offended by this but kept my temper in check. "Well, Mr. Westfield, I'm just giving a suggestion. I doubt the students want to continue with the school day. They'd be distracted all day." I told him in a low voice, so nobody heard me.

"Why don't you just leave Ms. Anders. I don't need your help!" Mr. Westfield snapped back, so I turned on my heel and stormed out the door. The students watched me walk away and started muttering to each other. I was just outside the door, when a voice startled me.

"Well Rose, that was interesting, wasn't it?" I whirled around to see James leaning casually against the wall. He was smiling.

"Yes very." I replied stiffly. My day had been interesting but also one of the worst days ever. "Well, I'm going home." I stated. I needed to get somewhere, where I could think or rather not think. I started walking and James just followed me.

"Why are you following me?" I asked in a voice that clearly said I wanted to be alone.

"I want to make sure you make it home okay." He replied easily. I had a feeling he was lying but didn't feel like calling him out on it. I just kept walking, but this time avoided the entrance to the graveyard. I never wanted to go in there again.

"Well I can take care of myself." I said frostily. He didn't argue back, just kept walking with me, even keeping up my fast pace. In all honesty he wasn't a bad companion. He asked me questions about me and I answered, sometimes not sure if I wanted him to know all this stuff about me. I didn't normally tell people a whole lot about me. The less people knew about me, the better. We made it to my house and I said goodbye to James. I unlocked my door and stepped inside. I made myself a tuna sandwich and ate it up. I was really hungry.

My cat came up to me, meowing for some tuna. I smiled at him and shook my head. "Weasley, I already gave you some tuna juice." I told him, shaking my head and laughing as he put his paws on my seat and gave me one of his cutest looks.

I went to bed at 10 that night. Well mostly, I tossed and turned, trying to shake off what had happened today. When I finally fell asleep, I dreamed and it was very much a nightmare. I was in the graveyard again but thus time Mrs. Fitts was there and sneering at me. "It's your fault." She repeated over and over again. I argued and said that she had probably had a heart attack but she insisted it was my fault. The cloaked guy swooped in again and a grave opened up, swallowing Mrs. Fitts whole. She screeched loudly, it was worst than a banshee cry. I looked at the cloaked guy closely and saw that he looked exactly like I imagined a grim reaper would look like. His sythe flashed at me and I woke up with a start. I was sweating profusely and breathing really hard. I took some calming breaths and snuggled deeper under the covers.

Grim's POV

I was thinking about that Rose girl again. She was all I could think about now. She was beautiful and smart and I was just destructive. I destroyed lives, that was my job. She would never ever love me. I must have been thinking about her hard because I found her soul in the dream realm. She was having a nightmare where she was in the graveyard. Mrs. Fitts was haunting her in her dreams. I had to do something about it, I couldn't let Rose suffer. I opened up Mrs. Fitts grave with one slash of my sythe and she fell into it with a scream worse than a banshee. Rose looked horrified. I swooped at her like I had earlier and she didn't move. She was obviously thinking. My sythe flashed close to her and her soul left the dream world. She woke with a start in reality. I sighed, she would have no idea who I was. Most people did not believe in grim reapers until it was too late. I would have cried if I could cry real tears but instead I flew off to cause chaos and death.
