(Back to Ginny POV)
I know Rose was worried about the letter Cora got from her parents but if I knew Cora at all, she would send something back. Preferably something that she knew would anger them. So, I wasn't too worried. Now that we were totally back from break and settling in, time had gone away from me. The Thursday after Cora had gotten really tipsy, was when I told the girls about our plan on Saturday. Hermione had arranged for everyone interested in the defense group to meet in the Hog's head. Cora wasn't too happy about going there though.
"It's creepy there Ginny!" She complained crossing her arms.
"Yes, but Hermione scheduled it there." I explained patiently.
"No one ever goes there though." She shot.
"That's the point! No one goes there, so we can hide our meeting in secret."
"Why can't we have it somewhere else?" She whined.
"Because Hermione has asked over 30 people to join there and we can't change it because you are scared of the bartender.
I threw up my hands in frustration."But the bartender looks older then Dumbledore and like a stalker." She uncrossed her arms only to cross them again.
"I give up." I turned to Rose who had been watching our argument but doing absolutely nothing about it. She's used to it. And every time she intervenes, it gets worse, because we always make her choose a side and she's all conflicted and she gets anxious. Rose had bad anxiety as a kid and still sometimes has anxiety attacks. Cora and I may fight, but we don't want to make her problems worse.
"Deal with her. I have a headache and I need some kind of sweet."
I could hear Cora blabbering Rose's ear off as to why we shouldn't go.
Rose has a high tolerance for Cora, and times like these, it's much appreciated. But everything has a limit, and my darling Rose would reach hers soon, and I didn't want to be around when that happens.I wasn't exactly lying about getting something sweet to eat. I did. But I also wanted one more thing. My boyfriend Michael Corner. Oh actually that came out wrong. You know what I meant though right?
I knew he spent a lot of time in the library, so I went there. And speak of the devil, and he shall come.
I walked up to him.
"Hi Michael." I said.
Michael jumped, and looked at me.
"Oh hi babe. We really haven't talked in a while huh? Sorry about, um you know the train thing."I held in my laugh.
"No problem. All in the past." I said nonchalantly. Not really. That tampon episode was hilarious.Michael chuckled awkwardly.
"So, hey, you know about that defense group thingy Hermione Granger is organizing?" I asked getting straight to the point.
"Hermione? You mean that know-it-all from Gryffindor?" Michael asked.
I gritted my teeth. So what if Hermione is smart and not afraid to show it? Is it such a big deal?
"Hermione's my friend. And she says that because Umbridge isn't helping us at all with our DADA, we have to take matters into our own hands." I said lowering my voice just in case someone was eavesdropping.
"Right. What would we learn at this defense thing?"
"I'm not sure, exactly. Apparently, it was just Hermione's idea, but Harry's leading it."
"Harry Potter? That attention-seeking idiot? I'm not going then." He said crossing his arms.
"He's not attention-seeking. Ron, my brother, told me he HATES people giving him attention. And he's not an idiot either." I glared at Michael.
"What are you, in love with him or something?"
Yes. And your my back-up.
"Ugh, of course not. I'm just saying, there are two sides to every story. Please won't you come? Please, please please!" I begged him. Oh I can just feel all of my tough going down the drain. I hate begging or getting someone to do something.
Michael smiled at me, his smile really warming my heart. He stood up and pushed a strand of my red hair which was hanging loose behind my ear.
"Of course. Anything for you." I heard him whisper.
He leaned closer and I found myself doing the same thing. He licked his lips. We leaned closer and closer until, our lips were touching. He kissed me and I kissed him back. I could feel sparks, but I couldn't help but wonder what it would have felt like it was Harry. I didn't realize I was still kissing Michael while thinking these thoughts.
Bad Ginny.
I pulled away, and smiled at him. It was forced but a smile nonetheless.
"When is the meeting?" Michael asked after making sure I was comfortable seated.
"This Saturday at the Hogs Head. Before you ask, Hermione doesn't want anyone to know, who might tell Umbridge. So that's a pretty secret place according to her." I informed him with a little smile.
"She thought of everything."
"She really did. Hey look I have to go now, I'll catch up with you later okay Michael?" I said standing up.
"Okay babe." He kissed my cheek and I made my way through the library, and into the Great Hall for a quick cup of coffee, before going back to Gryffindor Tower and saying the password (fairy lights) and climbing up the stairs and sat down on my bed.
"You were gone an awfully long time," said Rose from behind her cute black framed glasses. She usually wears contacts, but sometimes she switches to the frames.
"Yeah." I said. I was still pretty much in shock. I kissed Michael Corner.
"You WHAT?!" Cora cried.
Oh I was speaking out loud. Cool.
"Well you see guys..."
And that's all your getting from me today. I was able to finish this chapter early and I'm glad because I won't be able to update for a while.
My grandpa died yesterday and I don't really think I can type a story with everything. Don't worry this isn't permanent, I'll be back in a week or two.
Please pray for his soul.
Now on a brighter note, I passed all of my tests, and I got a really high score for reading. So yay me!!!!
Now enough about me and on too you guys.
What are you doing?
Did I do the kiss scene well? I have never had a kiss before.
Should I do other POVs other then Ginny? This is your opinion because I want to know if you like reading other characters perspectives.
That's all for now... WAIT! I have a challenge sort of thing for you guys. You can totally ignore this but, if you stay, here it is. I want you to reread the first four chapters of this book and then go back to the last four I have written. See the differences and write them in the comments:). I really think I'm getting better at writing then I was when I started writing this book in February.
I love you guys so much and remember if you need someone, my DMs work.
Xx Clara ❤️
