You came bursting through the door with flowers, you thought you'd surprise her. Though you knew she wouldn't care much for them but it was the thought that count.
Unfortunately you didn't expect to find her in bed, hair messy with another man hovering above her. The blankets thankfully covering what you could only assume was their nakedness.
Armin seemed surprised as you did, "(Y/n)?!" Annie shoved Armin off of her, she kept the blanket covering her lower half.
Their undergarments were discarded in a corner of the room. The flowers dropped from your fingers, not even making a sound as they hit the floor. All you could do was freeze, feet stuck to the floor, your mind drawing a complete blank.
Was this real?
It was her voice that finally snapped you from your frozen state. "(Y/n)?"
Your features turned to anger instead of the smile you were supposed to greet her with.
But you said nothing to her as you just spun on your heel and began to walk away. Fighting the tears that we're threatening to fall, why weren't you saying anything?
By the time you got outside she'd gotten on a pair of shorts. "(Y/n) wait!"
You ignored her pleas to stop, it was only when her hand touched your shoulder that you found your voice.
"Wait for what Annie?!"
Her blue eyes were brimming with tears. How could she cry when she wasn't the one hurting? She was startled by your sudden outburst.
"I-I want to talk."
"Talk? You mean talk about what I just saw or talk about whatever excuse you can conjure up?"
She was silent for just a second and all she could manage was, "I'm sorry."
You had to look away from her face, from her in general. "How long have you been sleeping with him and most importantly why?"
You let her spew her story, "I've been holding an attraction for Armin for a bit now. It's been going on for a month, Armin had no idea I was with you. I knew I was in too deep so I hid it from you. But I still love you."
Every word leaving her mouth was just another blow to the beating organ inside that you felt like tearing from your chest. You swallowed, a lump forming in your throat. You tried to still your voice as you spoke.
"It's obvious who you've chosen." That's all you could get out, Annie would've said more but you took a risk by looking at her.
Her breath hitched at your eyes, at the tears she could tell you were trying so hard to hold back.
"Why don't you just cry?"
"I really don't think you are worth spilling tears over."
She had the audacity to reach out to you once more. But that's when you began to walk again, "goodbye Annie."
Annie felt her heart crack she turned and saw Armin standing by the door. He'd heard it all, "Armin..." but he walked right past her without saying a word.

She cried a lot that night, she'd done you so wrong and she knew that. "I miss him so much."
