It never crossed my mind that Victor would be there.

Victor saw me.
"Cassie?"
"Victor?"
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"I should be asking you the same thing. I live here."

He had a shocked look on his face. He glanced at his mum.
"You two... know each other?" Victor's mother asked us.

"We know each other from school, mum. She's one of my classmates." Victor informed her.

"Well, that's great! That way, you two won't have to get used to each other being siblings!"
"SIBLINGS?!"
"SIBLINGS?!"
We both yelled at the same time.

"You two are getting MARRIED??!!" I asked them, concerned.

"Yes, honey. We are." They both held hands and were smiling at me. I was terrified. How could dad want to marry someone he JUST MET?!

Great, now I sound just like Elsa from Frozen.

It got even more awkward at dinner. Everyone was just sitting there, all staring at each other like each person was from a different dimension or something. I was just eating my pizza, minding my own business until a certain someone had to say something.

"So, Cassandra. How's school been for you lately?" Victor's mum asked me. "Any good grades?"
"Fine. Yes." I replied weirdly. I didn't really want to talk to her. She seemed suspicious to me.
"Unfortunately, Vic here hasn't been doing so good, have you Viccy?"

Victor's eyes popped out immediately.

"Mum! Don't call me that here!" He whisper-shouted.
I snorted when I heard that.

"Hey, that's not funny, Reynolds." said Victor.
I just continued to eat my pizza, smiling at the same time.

The whole day pretty much went like this. Of all the boring days I've ever had in my life, I'm 100% sure that one was the worst. Victor and my brother were playing Basketball out in our backyard, and my dad and Samantha were acting all lovey-dovey to each other. I was just sitting there watching the news on the T.V because there was literally nothing else for me to do.

After they left, Damian and I had a little talk with our dad.

"So kiddos, what do you think of her?" He asked us.
"Ummm... she's not bad, I guess." said Damian.
"I don't like her. I don't like her at all." I said straight out.

My brother and dad both gave me confused looks. They looked at each other, then back at me again.

"What don't you like about her, sweetie?" asked dad.

"I just have a bad feeling about her. And her son, too - I don't like him."

"Well, it's not your decision whether I marry her or not." said dad strictly.

"You asked my opinion didn't you?"

"Don't act all smart with me, young lady!"

"I'm not acting smart!" I got up from my chair.

"How dare you raise your voice at me, Cassandra!"

"I'm not raising my voice!" I yelled even louder.

"That's it! Go to your room, your grounded for 2 days!"

"2 days?! I didn't even do anything wrong!"

"3 days! Don't make me change it to 4!"

"But dad- "

"3 days! Do you understand me!?"

I stopped and looked at the floor.

"Yes, dad." I walked to my room without saying a word.

I didn't talk to him for days after that. Neither did he.
