- TWO AND A HALF YEARS LATER -
❛how amazing it is❜
Tom shook out his hands in nervousness and cocked his head to each side to relieve some of the building pressure in his forehead. He took a deep breath, held it for a few moments, and then released it. He was ready. He had to be ready.
There was a soft ding heard echoing from the man's front pocket of his gray slacks and he quickly grabbed the phone that made the noise. Slipping it from his pockets, he raised it up to his eyeline and softly smiled at the incoming messages on his phone.

Mum wants you to call her immediatelyMum 14:41
Call me immediatelyHis mother was incredibly involved in his life now that he was back home in England since filming was over. He loved her and he loved that he got to spend more time with her and his family because he was back home. But his mother knew how important today was. She could wait.
Another text came in.
Mum 14:45
I meant call me after! Have you done it?Tom grinned and put his phone on silent before placing it on the counter and wiping his clammy hands on a dish towel. He splashed a bit of cold water on his face to try and focus himself and dried his skin with a paper towel. After tossing it into the wastebin below the sink, he heard keys turning in the doorknob and he whipped around immediately. Quickly, he flicked the lights off and smiled at the candles illuminating the room. He then took his place in the center of the living room and took a deep breath.
The door opened.
Blair stepped inside and pulled her large coat off her shoulders to place it on the coat rack off the door. She tugged on the sleeves of her sweater to adjust to the different climate of the apartment and stepped inside. "Tom? I just had the greatest time with your brothers at lunch," she said with a large smile as she walked through the hallway. "Your family is always so - "
She stopped.
She stared at the scene in front of her.
She felt like she was in a movie.
There was a fresh bouquet of daphnes sitting in her favorite vase on the counter of the kitchen counter. There were candles lining the counter and dining room table and all the lights were off so the only thing illuminating the man in front of her was the vanilla candles.
