Prologue- Welcome to beacon hills

It was a quiet and calm night on the highways with the occasional car that flew by hitting the speed limit but the calmness was soon interrupted by a sleek black vehicle zooming past going way over the speed limit.

"Dad stop worrying, I'll be fine" A girls voice with a British accent yells over the loud booming music her male counterpart was blasting, "Kol! the black-haired girl yelled anger evident in her voice, rolling her eyes she goes to turn down the music only for her hand to be stopped. "na uh sour wolf the driver picks the music, the passenger suffers," Kol says in a knowing tone, The girl scoffs and returns to her conversation
"will you please tell your deranged brother that I will dagger him if he continues," she said through clenched teeth "Calm down Alex I'll turn it down" Kol replies rolling his eyes turning down the music.

letting out a huff of annoyance Alex hears the laugh of her father on the other end of the line, "come now anna we both know Kol only has two brain cells."

"haha Klaus very funny" Kol responds sarcasm dripping with each word

"dad how many times do I have to tell you, Annalise, is my middle name, my names Alex," Alex said putting emphasis on her name "A-L-E-X Alex"

"I know my Little Wolf but it's a nickname I've picked up, I can't help myself, your whole name is beautiful my Alexis, Freyja Annalise Mikaelson," Klaus said causing Alex to smile at his words. "now again are you sure you want to go to this place? you can always come to mystic falls with me" Alex's dad says she could see the devilish smirk on his face in her mind.

"Dad I love you but wreaking havoc on a town that has no meaning to me doesn't sound like fun" Alex can feel Kols eyes on her giving her the "really look" choosing to ignore it she goes back to her conversation with her dad.
"Besides I have a business of my own to attend to in this town, I have to go back, it's been a long overdue visit I've been putting off, and I think, it's finally time I've gone back to my roots" Alex looks up from her fingers she was playing with, a habit she picked up when explaining something to her dad, noticing the sign that was about to come into view.
"Beacon hills here we come" Alex whispers both the original vampires being able to hear her.

"it'll take us a good thirty minutes and we'll be where we need to be," Kol says devilishly causing Alex to laugh.
"with how fast you're driving we'll be there in ten" Alex smiles at both Kol's and her father's laughter at her comment.
"I still don't agree with the leaving in the middle of the night though Luv" Klaus cuts through the laughter vanishing. "I could have personally driven you both to beacon hills"

"I told you, It's easier on me, even though Kol had to practically drag me into the car before I started hyperventilating, at the thought of leaving you, it was a lot easier to just leave," Alex says excitement in her voice "I only cried once the whole way!" she exclaims proudly.
"good for you Luv! see you've gotten way better, I told you to give it time and you'd be good to go!" Klaus beams at his daughter's courage and how far she's gotten.

Alex soaked in his words, a sense of accomplishment rushing through her, she knew her abandonment issues got in the way of many things hell when she first came to her father he couldn't leave her line of sight or she'd go into full-blown panic attacks. They were joined at the hip, she couldn't leave his side, but, as time went on she got better day by day, it's not like she hasn't been gone from her dad's side before, hell she loves going out and exploring on her own but being away for months on end, was hard, but she could manage. It was when she'd watch him or another person drive away after a goodbye, any goodbye being said only to watch that person leave is what she still had trouble with.

So she ops to turn around count to ten, calm her breathing, and wait a good minute until she can walk away, and goes on to do whatever she needs.

True to her words the two mikaelsons entered Beacon Hills less than ten minutes later, zooming past a stop sign "you could get a ticket for that" Alex comments
