'She's still asleep,' I thought, 'perfect, I don't have to make up some pathetic story about where I have to be and why I have to leave and that I'll make sure I call her that evening and all that stupid shit.'. Yet another girl to put on my incredibly long list. In all honesty, it's not something I'm proud of. It's one more girl who I have to awkwardly avoid on the street as I pray to God she doesn't notice me. Unfortunate really, she was a beautiful woman. I slowly crept out of the bed and grabbed my clothes, sneaking into the lounge to get dressed before silently slinking out of the front door. I suppose I could've left some form of note, but that might just give her false hope or it could really upset her. 'When she wakes up and see I've left without leaving a not, she'll get the message.' I thought as I looked at my watch. It was only 6:47am. As I walked down the street I noticed that Starbucks was already open. I stepped inside to get out of the chill from the wind and looked at the menu. After a long while I started to walk to the counter to order myself an Espresso Macchiato. Annoyingly, a skinny girl in gym clothes jogged inside and managed to get to the counter before me. It was early, I was tired and I'd spent a long time choosing which drink I wanted. This girl would've most definitely pissed me off even more if she spent ages asking about what drinks they serve and what's in each individual drink and so on. Luckily, she knew what she wanted which caused me to calm down because she was literally in and out of Starbucks within 30 seconds. I grumpily ordered my Espresso Macchiato and added an incredibly enticing blueberry muffin to my order. For some strange reason, I kept thinking about the sweaty jogging girl and her Chai Crème Frappuccino®.
