The alarm sounded signalling that I need to get up but my brain still wanted me to sleep for longer because I was tired beyond belief. Beside me I felt movement as Alex got up and removed the covers from my body letting the cold air hit me so I had to get up. I put on some sweatpants and a sweatshirt so that I can be comfortable on the plane and I packed my last minute things then waited for Alex to be ready so we can leave.
Alex got an Uber for us which we waited for quietly sat on our phones going though social media and in my case watching tiktoks. I have been pretty addicted to TikTok recently its just to fun to watch the videos that fans make especially because they are so creative and I like to watch ones about head cannons for my character or me as a person because it gives an insight into how the fans interpret what I put out, some of them are quite accurate actually and some of the ones for Alex are pretty good too. I also love seeing fan art/animations because the people are always so talented and I try my best to like all the ones I see.
Our Uber soon arrived and we left the house as quietly as we could so we didn't wake Wilbur and I made a mental note to text him later to thank him for letting us stay with him. The driver of our Uber was very nice and we had a nice conversation with him about life and our trip to Brighton, of course he asked what we do for a living and I had a feeling he wouldn't understand what we actually do because he just seemed like the type of people that don't so we both lied and said digital marketing because its kind of similar just not quite the full extent of it.
We arrived at the airport and said goodbye to the driver who was nice enough to help us with our things and we headed into the airport to check in for our flight which is in about and hour and a half which may seem excessive to be here this early but Wilbur told us to come early because English airports can be very unorganised so we listened to him so we could make it on time for our flight. Check in was quite busy but the line was moving quickly which was nice, we got to the front pretty quickly and check in went by with no hiccups. The rest of the security checks and things went well and we made it though with 45 minutes before our flight. The time went by quite quickly before we could board our flight.
Skip the flight
The plane has just landed and we are going to collect our bag so that Alex can get his next flight meaning we have to say goodbye to one another until we can see each other again and I have no idea when that will be because we haven't talked about it. I really hope it will be soon because I'm going to really miss him this time I can already tell but I guess this is what its like to be in a long distance relationship.
We collected our bags and made it to the main part of the airport where we had to say goodbye. We shared a sad look between us before Alex wrapped his arms around me to give me a tight hug, this hug lasted a long time with neither of us wanting to be the one to let go but eventually we did let go at the same time. He leaned back in to kiss me before he really had to go and I went to wait for my Uber to take me back home.
I was still waiting for my Uber a few minutes later when my phone started ringing so I picked it up obviously wondering who was calling because most people I talk to just text me or we talk though discord. The contact that popped up was Alex's which had me worried so I picked up right away panicking.
"Hey are you ok?" I asked
"Yeah I'm fine don't worry my flight was cancelled and I can't get another one for what looks like a few days are you still waiting outside?" He asked
"Yeah I'm still here my Uber is due in a few minutes I'll get them to wait if you aren't here on time" I said
With that the call ended and a smile started to form on my face knowing that I get to spend longer with Alex but it was annoying that his flight was cancelled and he can't get another one. My Uber pulled up just as Alex ran through the door making it to me just in time to get in. He put an arm around my waist to stop himself and he gave me quick kiss on my cheek before taking my bags putting them in the trunk (this word makes me cringe why not just use boot like we do in the uk) and we got in the car together.
"So do you have any idea when you'll be able to get a flight not that I want you to leave" I said
"No idea they said that all the flights are fully booked you know because its summer but they said they would call when there is a seat available but obviously there is a whole flight to get new seats for" he explained
"As much as that's annoying I'm excited to spend more time with you" I said
"As am I mi amor" he said
He rested his head on my shoulder for the whole drive to my house so I ran my fingers through his hair which was now free from the beanie he had been wearing all day and a bit of a mess but it looked cute. He had a small smile on his face that I could barely see because it was hidden slightly because of the way his head was resting. The fact that all I was doing was running my hand though is hair and he was smiling made me so happy. It's really going to be fun having him with me for a little while we can have that really chill day that I wanted to have in Brighton.
