Soaring with Sheen Mandes

In Flight

        Sheen's day wasn't supposed to happen like this, he was supposed to stay inside as his mother had told him. Today was Sheens 13th birthday, but as soon as he woke up his mother warned him about going outside and forbade him from leaving. Sheen was devastated, all he wanted to do was have a normal 13th birthday, but no his helicopter mom had to decline him hanging out with his friends.

        Sheen wished throughout the day that maybe his mom would let up and let him go outside, at least onto the patio. But every time he asked her she yelled at him to stop asking, Sheen waited until 1am to sneak out.

        By then his mom had fallen asleep, plus technically his birthday was over. When Sheen had carefully slipped past his mom's room and stood at the door, he heard something. He heard as his mom got up slowly from her bed.

        He ran outside and ran, he ran as fast as he could. Until he didn't feel the ground, he looked at the ground and realized he was flying, there were small whiteish wings on his back. He panicked as he saw his mother flying fast towards him. He flew but she flew faster, she grabbed his foot and pulled him back inside.

His mom pushed him inside the house as Sheen tried to work out the fact that his mom had wings!
"Honey, I can't believe you snuck out like that" Sheens mother yelled at him.
"Why can't I got outside" Sheen yelled back
"Because your a fairy" She whispered, Sheen was taken back by this, him a fairy he couldn't be. Sheen hadn't always been the sporty type that always fit in but he wasn't that weird.
"I've been meaning to tell you if our family's past, but I never got the chance. I was too scared you would run away" When Sheens mother said this words Sheen felt bad. He was mad at him self but even more mad at his mother.

"HOW COULD YOU KEEP THIS FROM ME, MY WHOLE LIFE IS A LIE"

Sheen stormed of into his room, his mother followed him as he slammed the door in her face. He felt bad that he did it and regretted it almost immediately after.
"I'm sorry, I'm just so, confused" he said as he opened the door to see his mom standing there.
"Sit down, I have a lot to tell you"
