...

Chuuya tapped his foot against the marble floor of the school, worried out of his mind.

He had waited the entire lunch period for his boyfriend to return, but he never did. He even checked every area of the school, including the auditorium, parking lot, garden, and even the swimming pool, but no luck.

He tried calling and texting him, but no responses either. He didn't even get left on read. He knew something had to be wrong, Dazai always answered him, even when he was in school.

Out of sheer worry, Chuuya hadn't been able to focus in any of his classes, ditching the rest of them to roam the hallways. He wasn't sure why he stuck around the school, maybe there was a small hope in his mind of turning a corner and finding the brunette waiting for him.

The end of the day was nearing, which caused Chuuya to realize what day it was once again.

It's our anniversary, he remembered.

Dazai was going to pick me up after school so we could have the rest of the day to ourselves...

Chuuya knew that Dazai wouldn't stand him up this time. He rushed to his locker to grab his things, seconds before the bell rang, ending the final period of the day.

Chuuya had hoped to get out of the school before everyone, but luck just wasn't on his side today. As Tachihara stood between him and his way out.

"Look Tachihara," Chuuya began, "I'm really not in the mood so please get out of my way." Chuuya tried to push past the taller male, only to be stopped, as his books were pulled from his hands.

"Hey, those are mine! Hand them over!" Chuuya yelped, jumping in protest, trying to reach the books from out of his hands.

"I'll give them back when you agree to go to the concert with me," Tachihara reasoned, smirking as he leaned down to Chuuya's level.

"Screw you, keep my damn history book for all I care!" Chuuya shouted, pushing Tachihara out of the way, and moving for the front entrance, eyes already searching for the familiar view of Dazai's car.

His eyes widened as his eyes did finally fall on Dazai. He ran toward him excitedly, but his pace gradually slowed as the look on Dazai's face went from annoyed to pissed off.

Is he not happy to see me? Chuuya thought, as he walked the rest of the way to Dazai.

"Dazai? What's wrong? You had me really worried." Chuuya said, trying to understand what happened.

"What's wrong?" Dazai repeated, "Really Chuuya?"

Chuuya cocked his head to the side, genuinely confused and surprised at Dazai's tone.

"Did I- Did I do something to upset you?" Chuuya asked, worried now, looking Dazai in the eye.

"Yes! Goddammit Chuuya," Dazai shook his head, gesturing to the front of the school building, pointing his finger at Tachihara.

"Did you really think I wouldn't notice you were with someone else?" Dazai asked accusingly, stepping closer to Chuuya now, out of anger.

"Someone else?" Chuuya questioned, "What, you mean Tachihara?" Chuuya asked, turning his head toward the front of the school.

"Yes him! Jeez, you're dense Chuuya, no one's buying your act!" Dazai shouted.

"What act?" Chuuya was clearly angered now, stepping closer to Dazai in retaliation.

"I hate Tachihara more than anything, I've never even smiled in his general direction!" Chuuya shouted in response.

"Then why does he have your books, Chuuya? Explain this to me!" Dazai thought he had cooled off earlier, but seeing the two of them in front of him now, angered him more than anything.

"I can't believe I fell in love with you, and you're here running around with an asshole like him." Dazai scoffed, turning around to get into his car.

"Fell.. in love... with me?" Chuuya repeated, out loud quietly.

"Dazai, please listen to me!" Chuuya tried to stop him, blocking the car door.

"He took my books from me, he was in my way, I just wanted to get to you!"

Dazai sneered at Chuuya, "Do you really expect me to believe that?" He asked, as he moved Chuuya from in front of the car door.

"Yes, I expect you to believe it, you idiot!" Chuuya shouted, so loudly causing many heads to turn, including Dazai's.

"And why is that?" Dazai asked, hand ghosting the handle of his car door.

"B-because!" Chuuya stuttered.

"Tch," Dazai opened the door.

"Because, I love you, you idiot!" Chuuya shouted, eyes wide, realizing what he had just confessed.

Dazai turned around, walking over to Chuuya quickly.

Chuuya couldn't tell what Dazai intended to do, he looked almost angry with him, he closed his eyes tight.

Only to find, that his face was not met with the fist he was expecting, but Dazai's soft lips on his.

Chuuya gasped, but kissed back eagerly, his backpack falling to the ground as he wrapped his arms around Dazai's neck, deepening the kiss.

Across the school courtyard, stood Tachihara in disgust, he dropped Chuuya's books onto the ground in front of him, retreating back into the school.

Chuuya and Dazai, having not seen any of this happening, still so entranced in the kiss, finally broke apart. Staring into each other's eyes in contentment.

"I don't know what you saw Dazai," Chuuya started, "But I would never do something like that to you, I promise." He breathed out, looking into Dazai's chocolate brown orbs, his look of trust never fading.

"I should've known my chibi could never fall for anyone other than me," Dazai said grinning.

Chuuya smiled, Dazai was back, and he wasn't mad.

"I trust you," Dazai whispered, kissing the top of Chuuya's head, before leaning down to grab his slug's backpack and then his hand. Leading him to the side of this car.

"I trust you too," Chuuya smiled, as the couple shared a short and sweet kiss, before driving away, leaving the school drama behind them.
