The wind blows my hair in my face as I walk to work. To make things worse, my hair kept sticking to my mouth cause I'm wearing chapstick. I knew this would happen, but it's either hair in my mouth or extremely chapped lips. Oh how I wish it were summer or at least spring, but nope, winter is still going strong here in New York, despite the fact that it's already march. I wonder if I'll be able to miraculously bump into One Direction, one of my favorite bands ever. They often come here when they're on tour. I laughed at myself for even thinking that I would have such a huge opportunity like that. Meeting the boys who saved me from myself is more of a fantasy than something that might actually happen. Besides, if I do manage to be within a few feet of them, I wouldn't be able to see much what with all the other girls surrounding them. "Girl, get your head back down from the clouds,"I tell myself. I sigh and shake my head to clear it of all my silly dreams. One thing is for sure, I will meet my saviours, someday, somehow. I take a deep breath and brace myself for a very long day and open the door.

"Well I'm done with my shift I sigh in relief as I put away my apron. "So am I." One of my co workers, Alexander said. We've known each other since we were kids and I have always had a thing for him but he doesn't feel the same way and we're just good friends. Besides, he's had a girlfriend for three years and I am not the kind of girl who gets in between any couple no matter what.
His phone rings and he sighs. I want to ask if anythings wrong but It's not any of my business so I turn and head to the bathroom, but my boss stops me on my way. "Em, I'm really sorry for asking you this, but I need a huge favor from you." Lisa says pleadingly. "sure thing, what is it?" I ask. "well I need you to take over Trisha's shift for today, she called and told me she had a family emergency to attend to." she informs me. "Sure, no problem." I tell her, and she smiles really big and hugs me. "oh thank you so much Emily! I'll pay you extra." she says and leaves. I go to the bathroom and then back to get my apron. "Hey your shoe's untied" Alexander tells me and before I can do it myself, he bends over and starts tying them up for me. " um, thanks." I tell him when he gets back up. "no problemo" he replies and leaves. That was unnecessary but nice nonetheless. you see, Alexander knows that I have a crush on him, but what he doesn't know is that it's getting smaller as time passes by. I'm just mostly attracted to him now cause of his drop dead good looks. I mean, he's a nice guy and all but he's not really my type, lets just leave it at that. But he wouldn't understand so I just let him think whatever.

Our tiny shop is almost empty of customers now since it's after five, so I'm just chatting with Jessica, my BFF who also works with me. "I'm telling you, he's probably crushing on you but is too stupid to admit it." she says after I tell her about the whole shoe thing. Jess, he just tied my shoe, that doesn't exactly scream 'I wanna be with you!'," I say. just then the door opens and two guys come in. they're both wearing shades despite the fact that it's pretty cloudy outside. "Good evening, how may I help you?" I greet them cheerfully. We'd like two coffees please." The first guy says. "Coming right up." I smile at them and leave to fill their orders. Once I finish , I hand them their coffee and they thank me before leaving.

It's finally the end of my shift and I'm using my phone while I wait for Jessica to come back from the bathroom. "Ready to go?" I hear her say and I lock my phone and look up at her. "Yeah buddy." I nodd. We both giggle at Niall's old catchphrase. (A/N: good times, huh?😌). We walk to the door and I notice that someone had dropped their wallet outside.I bend over and pick it up. " let's see who we have to return it to." I say and open the wallet. Jessica and I gasp in disbelief when we read who's it it is...."Zayn Malik???" We both say at the same time.
