Chapter 2

On our way to the cafeteria we came across many people, it was very loud, everyone was talking with their
friends. The cafeteria was small, smaller than my old one.
There was it again, the staring, seems like everyone knew that i'm the new one.

Niall found a free table and we went in the direction he pointed. "do you want to order some food" Liam asked. "No thanks I'd rather starve than eat cafetaria food" I plagued, and Liam just nodded, Niall just laughed "It's not that bad actually, food is food"
There was silence going, people are still talking, I tried to listen to someones' conversation
until niall finally spoke up in a loud voice "So why did you switch schools? did you move?" "Yeah no I just wanted to start again, bad things happened in the past don't really want to talk about it" I said awkwardly, "No oh it's totally okay I don't want to pump for information"

if I could only forget all these things..

..wait i need to pee

"I'll go have a wee, where is the restroom?" I said and stood up to leave "Go out of the cafeteria, turn left along the corridor, go up the stairs and then it's there somewhere" Liam explained.

I nodded and repeated the directions in my head

On my way to the restrooms I gazed at some colored walls in the corridor, portraits of famous artists, random drawings from other students,
even from students who were at this school in the 80s.
When I saw one abstract drawing I stopped

A lighthouse on a cliff, the waves crashing against the rocks, looked so friendly, no loud voices, peace, the sky was cloudy but you could see the sun slightly coming through the horizon.

I continued walking in the hallway and finally found the restroom. I was having a quick wee and on the way back I stood in front of the drawing again.

I took a picture with my phone, as suddenly two guys walked past me "Freak" a tall guy with brown almost black hair shouted, next to him another guy with brown curls who just giggled.

why? just because I took a picture of a school drawing?

should I say something back?

I didn't, I just raised an eyebrow and was staring at them, I was confused. The Boy with the curls turned his head back while walking away, when he saw I was still staring at them he immediately turned back very quick.

Back in the cafeteria, Niall bought some food , Liam was already in his next class because they had to prepare something for their project.
I watched Niall eating his very nauseous looking sandwich "Do you want to hang with us after school?" "Who is us? Just Liam and you?" "Yeah just Liam and a few other friends"

who are those other friends??

Oh okay no thanks, i guess i'll just finally move in my apartment".

"Wait you haven't even moved in yet? I can ask the others, we can help you moving in" Niall suggested with a little smile. "I don't know do you really want to unpack moving boxes than hang out with your friends?"

Niall just shrugged and looked at his phone "Oh shit, my chemistry class starts in 5 minutes. See you after school".

Niall and I split on our ways to the next class, physics, it was boring like every lesson..

*bell ringing*

finally..

I packed my bag and walked out of the school almost fell over the stairs, I was too tired to run to get the bus, so I just walked home.
Crossing big flower meadow, streets and a beautiful lake with dark blue, clear water..
