Tracking them wasn't going to be hard because as an elf I naturally had a good sense of direction, the only thing that I wasn't too pleased about was that I was on foot. Of course I didn't have a horse so I was stuck on my shoes, to top it all off I needed to at least jog to gain back all the feet they covered while I was asleep. So off I went out of my world, my home, off on an adventure I might not see completely through. That didn't matter though because I knew the risks I was taking, but I also knew this chance wasn't coming again and that I wasn't going to let Bilbo go on his own.

I was jogging until I couldn't jog anymore, through the brown crumbling hills, and lush green forests. But man was I wiped! I mean damn, I could see the stars, so either I had been running all day or I'm on the verge of passing out, and elf stamina doesn't usually decline. But as I looked around I realized that it was in fact night and I needed to find somewhere to rest. I started walking again, about twenty minutes in I heard some noise. I couldn't tell what it was, but I knew it was close. So, me being the juvenile little elf that I am, I leapt into the trees to continue moving forward branch by branch. Swinging quietly through the trees, I noticed the noises where getting louder. The trees had stopped and I was now in a series of rock cliffs. I began climbing slowly and carefully until, "What the heck?! Is that laughter?"...it couldn't be, I smiled to myself. Sure enough there they were.

Sat around a dimming fire were my friends. Well let me rephrase that, sat around a dimming fire were Bilbo, Gandalf, and people who probably thought I was crazy but I called friends anyway. How was I going to do this? I maniacally thought to myself. I mean they did leave me so obviously I was going to have as much fun as I could have with this. Slowly I climbed to the top of the cave and peering down I saw Fili and Kili huddling together laughing at my Bilbo, a**holes. Thorin stood a couple feet in front of me, but he had his back to me and was looking over the edge of the cliff. He was too dramatic.

I ducked back down behind the top wall of the cave and grabbed some small stones that were scattered on the ground by my feet. I made my way back up and holding one in my left hand I launched it at Thorin's back. I then quickly ducked down before anyone saw me.

"Who threw that?!" Thorin boomed, and everyone's heads shot up into the air to see what was going on. I couldn't keep the giggles in as everyone looked at each other confused as to why Thorin was yelling. " I said who-", before he could finish what he said I busted out in my hyena cackles. I was in some deep shiz. The company shot out of their spots, grabbing their weapons, ready to attack.

"What was that monstrous noise?"questioned Balin. They all circled the fire, looking like they were praying to the sun gods or something. I couldn't stop though, and my thunderous giggles continued to spill out of my mouth.

"Sounds like a warg!"screamed Ori. Aww he was soo- wait! Did he just say warg, of heck no! I jumped from the top of the wall, extinguishing the last few dying embers of the fire.

"I must admit I've never heard that one"I said to Ori, who like everyone else was staring at me in shock.

"Arielle!" Bilbo yells running up to embrace me in a tight hug. I leaned down a bit so I could fully engulf his little hobbit body. Oh how I missed him in the long 30 hours I haven't seen him...

"Bilbo" I simply muffled back. I could feel everyone's eyes on me.

"You!" Thorin booms. I snap my head towards him standing all the way back up.

"Me" I simply reply smirking at him. He was steaming, probably thinking I was a pack of orcs or something. I guess I had gone a bit overboard, but I couldn't stop laughing, I tried.

"What are you doing here?" Balin questioned me. Wiping the smile off my face I turned serious, I wanted to be a part of the company so laughing wasn't going to help win them over.

"Isn't it obvious she came for me" Fili says, grinning like some idiot. I chuckled slightly before returning my poker face

"It's true I came back for Fili" I said seriously staring straight into Thorin's eyes. Everyone looked confused some mad. I hadn't finished yet though."I came back for Fili, for Kili, for Dwalin, Balin, Ori, Nori, Dori, Oin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Bilbo, Gandalf, and even you Thorin."I saw everyone smiling back at me now, except the usual two. "I wasn't going to miss out on this, I've been wondering about my past my whole life and I thought maybe going on this adventure would give me some answers. But not only that, I know that you guys want Erebor back and I want to help you." I finished still eye locked with Thorin, he seemed to be having a debacle in his head, questioning his trust in me. "I'm also a really good shot." I squeezed, gesturing to the bow strapped to my back in hopes that maybe this would help him come to his choice. He stared at me for a while longer, everyone waiting anxiously for his answer.

"Balin, did you bring the other contract?"he finally said after ages. Everyone burst into cheers and laughs, except Dwalin, who of course only scowled in my direction. I ran up to Thorin grabbing him into a tight squeeze.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I squealed still latched to him. He went completely stiff, probably wondering what happened. Bilbo came up and peeled me off of a shocked Thorin, but hey I was going to make him like me, Dwalin too. Thorin only cleared his throat before telling everyone to get some sleep and that he would take the first watch. Bilbo led me over to where he was setting his mat up and I joined him pulling off my backpack to get my sleeping roll.

"You could always join us" Fili said as he and Kili gestured to a spot in between their mats.

"Or me" said Ori quietly, already laying snugly under his blanket.

"She most definitely will not! Arielle will lay right here next to me." Bilbo protested. Aww he was so cute with his face all red and stuff. I nodded in agreement to all my new friends. I still barely knew them, but I could tell that we would be real close real soon. Bilbo crawled under his blanket as I sat on top of mine next to him. I wasn't that sleepy but I could tell that my poor Bilbs was exhausted. I simply rubbed his head soothingly and he quickly knocked out. In fact, everyone was knocked out except Thorin, who was on the other side of the camp facing away from me.

Sighing, I got up and quietly tip-toed over all the sleeping dwarf bodies over to him. I knew he heard me and just didn't say anything as I plopped down next to him staring off the edge of the cliff into the night.

" I'm sorry, If I made you uncomfortable, I was just happy that you let me join, this has been my dream ever since-" I cut off looking down towards my feet dangling off the edge. I could see him turn towards me in question.

"Since what, Arielle?". It was the nicest he had ever talked to me, I was momentarily shocked. But I composed myself before slowly pulling down the shoulder of my top to reveal my secret. Thorin seemed a little flustered until he saw the tattoo, the glowing heart at the top of my arm, that seemed real and burning under the moonlight.

" I've had it for as long as I can remember, and I know it means something's I've also...had dreams". I tell him about the mystery man that has been haunting me in my sleep. "It's like he's calling me, but I don't know who he is", I trailed off looking over at Thorin. He seemed stunned as he looked at my arm. "What is it?" I questioned him. He sat dazzled until returning his eyes straight ahead.

"It's nothing, it just seems...familiar. Get some sleep kid" he finished not turing back to me. I pulled my sleeve back up and nodded walking back to my mat. What did this thing mean?
