Chapter 23- Pups

SERENITY

Me and Seonghwa were out at the mall. I did what normally every girl would do and let him hold my bags. Of course, he had no problem with it.

"Another bag, pup?" He chuckles to himself. I nodded my head smiling. "Yes! Another bag!" "I'm just a butler holding your bags at this point." I laughed a little and nodded my head. Nothing feels better than shopping on the weekend. "I feel like one of those boyfriends you can rent out in China to be at the mall with you. They hold your bags, feed you, help you choose outfits, help you with your kids, I feel like one of those. I should learn Chinese and move there and just let people rent me out. I would make a handsome shopping mall boyfriend right?" I giggled and said "Yes you would!"

As we moved on to the next store, I bumped into someone accidentally and bowed down a little saying sorry. Bowing down is such a huge habit of mine even though it's not very common in America. I looked up to see it was one of my ex's. My ex's name was Ace, surprisingly, he was the only ex I ever had. "Oh! Ace! I wasn't expecting to bump into you." He smiled and responded "I wasn't expecting to see you here either, Serenity. How have you been? I haven't seen you in so long." I smiled and said "I've been good! How about you?" He nodded and said "I'm doing alright. Some pretty life changing things have been happening, I've been busier than ever." "Ah, I understand. It's senior year, it's gonna be like that."

A girl came walking towards Ace and held his hand and Ace smiled at her. "Oh! Babe, this is Serenity. She's my ex." I smiled at her and waved. She responded "Oh wow! You're way prettier than what Ace has described! It's nice to meet you!" We both shook hands. I noticed that there was something in the cart, which looked like something I could definitely recognize easily...a baby car seat? Ace smiled at me and moved aside so I could see better. I gasped and covered my mouth, there was a baby boy in the car seat. "Oh my god! Hi little baby!" The baby cooed waving his arms. "Oh my god! He's so cute!" I giggled "Sorry if I might be over reacting, I love babies, I miss when all my siblings were this small." I pouted. Ace laughed a little and said "Yeah, you always talked about how much you loved babies."

"Oh my gosh he's so cute! I can't wait to have my own." I felt a feeling deep inside me as if someone was watching me. Which someone was, I felt a pair of arms wrap around me as I was admiring the baby. "Aish, Seonghwa." He looked at Ace and smiled and bowed a little. "Sup." He also said hi to Ace's girlfriend. "I'll see you another time, Ace. Congratulations on the baby though, he is so adorable!!" We bid each other goodbye and I went along my way. "Seriously Seonghwa? I was admiring the baby." He shrugged and said "I don't care. The baby was cute but that's your Ex, Serenity. Your ex!" I shrugged and said "Oh, so I can't have ex's? I can't have GOOD relationships with ex's? He was my only ex, Seonghwa. Me and him still have a good relationship even though we broke up. He's a really good friend." He shook his head no and said "Once you stop dating, you part ways with that person. You part ways with that dumb ex boyfriend of yours."

I literally rolled my eyes in annoyance and said "Whatever. I don't care. Let's just go." I walked off.

Seonghwa gritted his teeth in annoyance and followed but I heard him mumble something, I was too annoyed to ask of course so I brushed it off and decided to probably ask him when we arrived home.

As we were driving, I noticed that we weren't headed to my home. "Seonghwa, where are we going? We passed by my house." He tightened his grip on the wheel and pushed a little bit of his hair to the side of his face. I punched his arm and said "Seonghwa, I asked you a question. Where are we going?" He scoffed and said "Are you the driver?" He paused waiting for an answer. "Didn't think so. So shut up and let me drive to our new destination. Unless you want an even bigger punishment coming your way." I said in an annoyed tone "Punishment? I'm not playing your dumb games today, Seonghwa!" He licked his lips and rolled his eyes, ignoring me and keeping his eyes on the road. "Whatever, I'll just leave when we arrive at our "new" destination."
