This is why she kept her armor on. This is why she didn't go to social events where she wasn't allowed to wear her armor. Everyone stared. Whether it was looks of jealousy or someone checking her out. It made her uncomfortable. Lin was tired of it. Her armor always hid her curves but now that she wasn't wearing it, everyone saw it. It wasn't too thick. Very much giving slim thick vibes. Luckily she saw Kya, the only person who didn't care as much.

Kya: "Hey Chief! You look great!" Never mind. Lin silently fumed and turned to leave. "Linny?" The chief walked out of the party and towards her car not caring if Kya was following. She got in and was about to drive off when Kya jumped in front of the car.

Lin: "Move Kya."

Kya: "What's wrong? All I said was hey." The water bender said as she jumped into her friends car.

Lin: "The 'you look great' was uncalled for. I hate when people say that and for a moment I thought you wouldn't be like them. I was clearly wrong." Kya thought for a moment then realized what she meant.

Kya: "Lin I didn't- I didn't mean it like that. I mean your outfit looks amazing on you." Lin stared at her steering wheel for a while, tears stung her eyes but she refused to let them fall. "Linny?"

Lin: "Sorry..." The metal bender looked ashamed of herself for assuming. They sat there in silence for a while.

Kya: "So everyone says what I think they say?"

Lin: "What do you think they say?"

Kya: "Your curves look beautiful on you. When the hell did you get those? You were so... scrawny as a kid."

Lin: "Thanks Kya." Lin huffed and sat back in her seat. "But yes. They do say the first part. I don't know about the rest."

Kya: "Hey I didn't mean to offend you. Why do you hate them so much?"

Lin: "I just do. They aren't for me."

Kya: "Hm.. I'll take it." She knew Lin was lying but didn't push it. "I haven't seen you in years.. Fill me in on your life."

Lin: "Not much. Just work stuff."

Kya: "No flings or anything? Anyone special?" The metal bender thought for a moment.

Lin: "I had one a few years ago." Kya raised a brow. "7 years ago...." Kya glared. "Okay maybe like 15 but I work too much for that!"

Kya: "Go to the club or something! Right now. That's why your so stressed! You probably have came in like years!"

The Chief blushed deeply and huffed. "Kya! Shut up!"

Kya: "You didn't deny it!"

Lin: "Well I have..." She mumbled. The water bender smirked as she heard what her old friend said. "Anyways!-"

Kya: "Don't think I didn't hear that." Lin froze and looked down blushing harder before, her face, neck, and chest bright red.

The two talked for hours even after the party ended. They ended up going to Club Badgermole anyways and getting way too drunk. They stumbled back to Lin's house which was closest since Kya was currently staying on Air Temple Island. The bar had closed but the metal bender had her own bar at her place.
