"Geoffrey is sick this morning and is feeling to ill to leave his bed so I will need you to complete your chores and his before you leave today.Geoffrey sick? Geoffrey was never sick or ill.even if he had a queasy stomach he wouldn't let it stop him.she feelt obligated to complete his task for him.she owed him for covering for her so many times. "yes Madame Berrta".the girl said without hesitation. leaving her seet with a bowl in her hands."nonono I'll take that.Madame Berrta said taking the bowl from Lou's hands."go now you've got work to do.Lou quickly grabbed her basket as the older lady brushed her out the door. Lou went through her chores in her head.get the eggs, fill the milk jars, clean the washroom, sweep the floors, and now she had Geoffreys chores also."oh and Louise don't forget that the Normans will be over later".Madame Berrta shouted at the girl who had taken of towards the local chicken coop.

Lou dashed off towards the local chicken coop it being local being there was only one coop in town.there were multiple outside of the village markets though. there were very few people in Cannsaborra.so all the locals could share.tripping over her dress occasionally. She hadn't ever really given any care about dresses so she had adapted to running in one.yes running was a unlady and childish thing to do but she had two legs so why not use them.she wasn't looking forward to being seventeen in a few weeks.being seventeen meant responsibilitys well more then she already had.she past the the river and the park where the kids play she had many fond memories there.and a couple of village houses.she ran until two people came into view along with the coop.she slowed her pace once she began to come close to them.

"Woahh".Thomas chuckled "you do realize we're always the first ones here? "Yeah what's gotten you into such a rushing mood? Sofia ask while twisting the brown and green strings that were rapped around the end of her long blonde braid.Lou's mind was set on one thing getting her chores done.if she moved at an average speed she would be done by third Canon fire."Geoffreys was feeling to ill to leave his bed this morning so I'm picking up his task for him."Geoffreys to ill to leave his bed "wow" he must really feel bad.the blonde girl said shaking her head lightly "well do you want sofia and I to help you.Thomas offered "yeah Lou we've got nothing else to do.Sofia added. "and besides if we help you finish we can go to you know where.the both insisted and she knew the would try and help her anyways "ok Thomas, Geoffrey was supposed to take theses letters to Mr.colmans house so you can run those.Sofia and I will go gather the eggs and fill the milk jugs meet up by the Dicksons house".the three noded in agreement.Thomas went his direction and the girls headed into the coop.

"How long do you think Geoffrey will be sick for? Sofia ask picking up her last two eggs and placing them into her basket

"I don't know I hope not for long". Lou replied pushing the coop door open.careful not to let anyone of the chickens out, often one or few were now for escaping. Thomas swore Mr. Lanther let them out on purpose for amusement.as if they had been thinking of the same thing Sofia ask "do you remember when you and Thomas chased the chickens towards the villagers isle?".
Whenever the chickens were loose the children would chase them down looking like wild chickens themselves. "How do you remember that?Lou questioned."I only remember Madame Berrta lecturing the two of you for how long was it again? She ask as if she had forgotten "two months". Lou answered.

♡♥I'm so sorry this chapter really stinks and is kinda boring but don't worry, it'll get better and way more exciting. This chapter is still being edited btw.also the first chapter of the boy and the hare.will be out soon.thank you lovely human beings/others for reading and please accuse my gramer like I said still being edited ♡♥
