I'll See You Later

"I'll see you later," I called out to Ezra as I turned to walk back to my house. Mother told me to be back at 1:00 for lunch, and it was already 1:15. I knew that I would be in a great ton of trouble, but it was worth it. I was able to finally make a friend.

As I stepped through the door shutting it quietly, hoping I could just sneak to my room and pretend I was there a long time ago, I heard my mother yell, "Viktor Grayson Roberts, what in the hell were you thinking, getting here 30 minutes past curfew!" I turned to see my mom standing in the living room, hands crossed and smoke coming out of her ears. I walked up to her keeping my head down, making sure I had zero amount of disrespect in me before talking.

"I'm sorry Mom, I made a friend and lost track of time," I lift my head to see a little bit of the anger gone, replaced with delight. I'm guessing because of me finally making a friend, not me being late. She holds her arms out and pulls me in giving me a hug.

"I'm so proud of you Vik," She gets up and says, "Come on, it's time to eat." I walk over to the table sitting down in front of a plate of chicken nuggets. I smile at the thought of Ezra. This won't be the last time he kept me out of trouble.

~~~Time skip~~~
I wake up to the alarm on my phone going off. I open my eyes slowly to let my eyes adjust to the light. I reach over and hit the stop. I lift myself and rub my eyes, stand up, and stretch. I go to my dresser, and grab a pink shirt slipping it on and pulling on a pair of light blue ripped jeans. I make my way downstairs and walk up to my mom giving her a quick kiss on the cheek, "Morning mom," I walk over to the cabinet for a bowl.
"Good morning Viktor," Mom says grabbing the cereal from the counter setting it by the bowl I grabbed. I Poured the cereal in and milk after that. I walked over to the table and started to eat. Ezra calls me as I take my first bite.
"Yo Vik, you excited for the first day of 10th Grade?" I smile hearing Ezra's voice, loving hearing it every day. "Yeah, I'm excited, I guess," I respond to him. I think about all the kids that will be there, most of them are fine, but Ezra's other friends are different. They just don't sit right with me. They always try making Ezra ditch me because I'm the Lonely Loser.
I get up after the call to put the bowl in my sink. I get my jean coat from the coat closet, and grab my bag, starting my walk to school. The same thing every year, I forget my lunch, so I run back and grab it before really starting my walk to school.
Once I got to school, I realized something was off. I saw people looking at me strangely. I always get people looking at me, but not like this. Some were looking at me with anger and others with pity. I make my way to my locker, the one right by the boys' bathroom of course. That's when I notice it. The writing on my locker, "I'm Gay, and I love my best friend."
I make my way over to Ezra, and start to apologize, before noticing the sadness in his eyes. He turns away and walks with his friends past me, completely abandoning me. I see more people looking so I close my eyes for a few seconds trying to keep the tears away.
I walk into the bathroom and rip a few paper towels out of the dispenser, getting them wet before going back to my locker, wiping them off. After I feel content with the way that it turned out, I made my way to class, barely making it in time. The day continues as usual, well except for the weird stares, after what happened I knew that no one would take it lightly, but I wish it didn't matter this much over who you did or didn't love.
~~~Timeskip~~~

After nearly 6 months of dealing with the bullying, I was done. I made my way to my favorite spot on the bridge that Ezra and I used to go to every day, before, well you know. I sat there contemplating what I have that keeps me going, and all I could come up with was my mom. Pros and Cons were very uneven.

I take off my coat and set it down on the bridge, suicide note stuffed in the pocket. I get up on the ledge, looking down and the ground below, the wonder release, that could end my suffering. Before I knew it, I saw Ezra and his group coming around the turn.

The first person who saw me was Ezra, the wonderful Ezra, the one I fell in love with, without meaning to. I start to cry seeing him lose his smile, but I knew I had to do it, I couldn't take this pain anymore, knowing what he must be going through, knowing that He was probably getting teased every day for a man liking him. That's just how life works.

I hear a yell telling me to stop, that we can fix this. I already knew I can't, that with the emotions I have only 1 thing could get rid of them. I slowly turned around, but before I do so, I smile at him. The boy that makes me feel this way, a way that no boy should feel about another. I close my eyes and I saw one last thing, something I hope that he remembers forever, "I'll see you later, Ezra." I close my eyes and fall backward letting all my worries go.

Hello to all my dear readers. I didn't know the best way to start this so, I thought I would do a writing idea I saw over and over again on Tiktok. I'm sorry if there is any grammar or spelling that needs to be fixed, English is not one of my best subjects. I love it anyway though. These stories will usually be between 1000-2000 words. My word count for this story is 1202.

If you guys want me to write something special for the next story, I would love to. Just DM me the outline and I will get started on it right away.

I don't really plan on putting Author's notes but if I do they will always be at the end of the story. They will be short and quick, and usually the same thing as the chapter before (Like the special story that you would want.)

Also, I just want to make awareness using this story as an example, about 10,000 children between the ages of 10-19 that commit suicide are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. I hope that one day we can all come together. If you need someone to talk to you can always DM me.

🌈HAPPY PRIDE MONTH🌈
