Chapter 37

Emily slid on the black coat on her papa's shoulder and dusted off any creases that were on the silk coat. She turned to her dad and smiled before combing through his hair and smiling at him.

They were getting ready backstage for their performance. The 5 of them were a nervous to be performing together again.

"It'll be alright" said Emily looking at everyone. They returned a nervous smile before looking at each other. With one nod they took steps towards each other and wrapping their arms around the others going into a huddle.

Emily smiled at them before snapping a quick picture.

"Its time" said Claire with one hand on the door knob and an encouraging smile etched on her face.

They smiled at her before ushering out of the room and taking their places on the dark stage. From between the pannels Emily gave them a thumbs up. Soon five individual lights light them up. The crowd held their breaths before erupting into cheers. The five individual spotlights became one as the five of them came together and started singing their debut single which had broken almost every record.

Once getting into the flow, they forgot their choreography and walked around the stage. They melted into the music and the joy of singing that song together once again.

The crowd was going crazy, people were crying, laughing, singing together, making videos, holding hands of their partners or just holding hands of a stranger who was just as alone as they were. Emily recorded the first song, What Makes you beautiful and instantly posted it on the update acoount she had been controlling for over two weeks. She slid her phone in her pocket before looking back at them.

She saw all of them with their arms around each other and bowing down. All of them had tears in their eyes. Taking a deep breath, they bowed down once again before joining Emily in the backstage where the five finally let their guard down. More tears flew down their faces as they realized how much they missed it. They together in a hug where all of them were sobbing. After patting each other's backs, Emily smiled at them, giving them a towel each.

"It was-" Zayn started.

"Refreshing"

"Nostalgic"

"Amazing"

"Beautiful"

"It was wonderful.... seriously. I felt so lucky standing here, watching it and well I updated the account....... you guys are trending worldwide. WORLDWIDE!! Everyone has gone crazy and people are tweeting here and there, the other fandoms have gone quite and everyone is just tweeting #onedirectionreunion and people are crying. You all are truly THE BEST BOYBAND ON THIS PLANET" Emily said overwhelmed as she saw all the tweets and replies.

"Lets go live" Louis said all of a sudden. It was surprising coming from him because he was camera conscious and would rather text or call than video chat.

"You sure?" Asked Harry.

"Yes. Its been long.... I wanna talk to the fans. I wanna tell them about our plans. So that they are ready to embrace One direction's end. Because even we are not ready for the end, its unlikely they will be" said Louis smiling a sad smile at the five of them.

After the album drops, with only a few interviews in hand and a short world tour, One direction would officially end and no matter how free they felt or how relaxed they were when they were solo, being on stage with the others boosted their confidence and gave them a sense of happiness. The end was nearing with every passing second and evem though they had about a year of One Direction, it would never be enough. The fun times, the pranks, the silly jokes, the up all nights, the singing on the stage together, liam and louis water fights, Niall jumping on the stage, Harry interacting with the fans as much as he could, Zayn being nervous yet excited on facing the crowd was something that they would forever miss. How could they forget that if it wasn't for One Direction being formed  their careers as a singer would have ended and probably they would have been doing some boring job in an office where they would have been deprived of the joy of having so many loving fans and 4 brothers for life.

After looking at each other nodding for a live, Emily set up One Direction's account and went live. The five of them sat in the dressing rooms on a couch, crammed together but that mess was what made One Direction, One direction.

"Are we live?" Asked Louis as he held the phone.

"Your hand is on the mic Louis-" said Harry rolling his eyes.

"Oh, wait, I SEE THE COMMENTS" saod Louis excitedly as he brought his hands down scrolling through the comments. The other boys and half of Louis's face wasn't visible due to him being engrossed in the comments.

"LOUIS!! WE ALSO EXIST" said Niall, reaching over and grabbing the phone out Louis's hand.

"HEY! THAT'S MY PHONE"

"Yes but its our account" said Zayn as he followed Niall.

Harry stood behind Zayn and waved into the camera. Louis rolled his eues before entering the frame. Liam took a deep breath as he regretted the reunion because of the chaos they had created mere moments after coming back together.

"Oh my god! Sit down all of you, I'll set up a tripod stand and you all can fit into the frame. Can't believe y'all are adults" Emily rolled her eyes before exiting the room to get a tripod stand.

Meanwhile, the 5 of them started a fight on who should hold the phone. The fans were having a laugh, realizing that their 5 favorite people in the world were back together, stronger and better. They were oblivious to the plans of the band's ending and that it was only one more album that they could cherish from the five of them.

Soon enough Emily came in and sighed at their sight. She sat them down together on the couch and set up the camera.

Louis went ahead and started speaking of their plans. Zayn, Niall, Liam and Harry continued to tell their whole plan for the fans to take it in and process the fact that after one year the biggest boyband which gave happiness to so many souls will end forever. They won't even have false hopes to cling upon or codes to crack or to clown over anything related to the five of them.

Every one was confused om whether to cry that One direction will end or whether to be happy that they will be able to witness one more year of them together.

It was one chaotic day for every directioner around the world.
