Tsukishima shifted his weight to the heel of his feet as he rested his palms flush against the bathroom sink. He sighed through his mouth, peering up at his reflection through his eyelashes.

The pink hue on his cheeks was beginning to fade after spending the last half an hour trying to chase away the thoughts his teenage mind had planted within him. He was a growing teen in the midst of his hormonal years. It didn't help that he was given the great opportunity to kiss his best friend who he had grown up with ever since they were children. She was only making his emotions more and more confusing.

"Are you done?" [y/n] asked from the other side of the door, her back pressed to the wood that separated them. It wasn't that she was clingy but she was wondering when he was going to come out of the bathroom since he had been dawdling in there for a while. "Mom is gonna be home soon, I think. She probably bought food on her way, so are you staying for dinner?"

The blond wiped his damp hands on his pants, yanking open the door by the handle. His eyes slightly widened for a mere second when the girl fell backwards, barely managing to catch herself and stand up straight. If it wasn't for her quick reflexes, she wouldn't knocked him down like a bowling pin. "I'll probably go home."

"Why?"

"No offense, but I don't want to hang around you for too long. I might catch the idiocy you have going on in that small brain of yours." He picked up his school bag, throwing her a quick glance when he didn't hear the usual clever retort. This time, the retort was replaced by a sharp stab of her finger to his ribs which made him fold in half, clutching the spot she had practically destroyed. "This is why women don't deserve rights."

The girl snickered, smacking his shoulder roughly as if she had taken offense towards the sentence that she had uttered a thousand times herself. They both knew that there was no hint of ill-intention behind his words; purely satire for the sake of a laugh that they'd share. "Okay, okay, get out already."

"Jeez," he muttered with a roll of the eyes, throwing the front door after he had put on his shoes. He was quick to exit her home, simply spinning around to wave at her curtly before making his way over to his house and disappearing inside without another word.

Once he was inside his house, she shut the door and returned to the living room to plop on the couch and finish the second horror movie they had started after they finished Orphan. It might have been a little brave to watch the movie on her own but she could care less since her mind was in a completely different place for once.

"Fuck." She slapped a hand over her face to make a loud thwack sound when her skin collided painfully. The dull sting of her face was nothing compared to the way her lips, cheeks, and ears burned. It was an extremely late reaction but her resistance to the embarrassment she felt earlier was wearing thin now that Tsukishima was gone.

The feeling of his soft lips brushing against her replayed in her mind repeatedly. The sweet taste of strawberry on his tongue was tantalizing, leaving her with hazy eyes. She was unaware of how he had become so good at these kinds of things but he sure was a natural at kissing and flirting. Maybe it was the fact that he had always been popular with the females ever since grade school, but she had never really heard of him having a girlfriend or anything of the sort.

Since they were best friends all these years, he would have at least told her about his first kiss and stuff. Right..?

Throwing her head back, she rested her head on the cushion and stared at the ceiling. Tsukishima was always secretive about certain aspects of his life. It wasn't something that had bothered her until she realized that she didn't even know him all that well. Would he really keep stuff like that to himself while she was busy losing her mind about her inexperience?
