Chapter 6
{Indiana Riley}
"Where were you yesterday?" Natasha asks.
I sit down on the stool that was next to the counter. I take a sip of the Orange juice in my hand, and put the glass down. I could feel the coolness of the drink travel down.
Natasha types furiously away on her laptop. From the looks of it, she is on Twitter. I can tell since she spends hours of her day on that media. She reaches a maximum on tweets every single day. For a while, she can't tell her followers how much she loves her precious bloggers- or vloggers.
"I just went for a walk, and checked out some places," I answer to her question from earlier.
It's true, but I just decide to leave out the part about having company. If I tell Natasha I was hanging out with a guy, not to mention five of them, she would freak out. I would get too many unwanted questions and misunderstandings. Natasha can and will turn it into a big conversation that I just wouldn't want to sit through. Besides, it's not like I will ever see them again.
"Did you get lost or something? By the time I came home, you weren't here," She mentions.
"I just took my time, that's it."
I sat waiting for her to say something else, but instead she just continues to stare at her Twitter.
I take another sip of my orange juice before getting up. I leisurely walk around my place. The curtains were open, so the daylight from outside was shining through. Natasha just got here ten minutes ago. I was alone all this morning, so it was nice for her to come over, even if she is just gonna ignore me for her laptop.
"I don't get it!" Natasha shouts slamming her fists on the counter's surface.
I plop down on the couch so my back faced Natasha. I lay my head back so I can see the tall ceiling.
"What is it now, Tasha?" I ask.
"They were out all day yesterday! Yet no one has a clue where they went. There are no photos posted yet or anything!" She complains.
Once I realized she was talking about her famous people again, I blocked her out a little bit. Yes, it was a bit rude of me, but it's not like she was going to ask for my comments. She never does. Before, I would just end up saying something stupid or offensive.
"It's like they're not even here in this city," she groans.
The sun came in really bright that it hurt my eyes. My eyelids suddenly became very heavy, so I slowly close them. Even with my eyes closed, I could still sense the high level of brightness.
My mind starts to wander about irrelevant things. Well, more off topic than irrelevant. Things like what the weather will be like tomorrow, when's the next Giants game, or what Vanessa Hudgens is wearing today.
