Boruto woke in another hospital bed, but this time he had restraints confining him. His heart started pounding when he realized he couldn't move. The restraints were tight, which didn't allow for any movement.

"Where am I?" He panted, recognizing two out of three men in the room.

"This is a safe place. There's nothing to worry about, Boruto." The hokage smiled reassuringly.

"Why do you keep calling me Boruto?" The blonde questioned, all anybody has ever called him was, "boy", or insults. He once wondered what his name was, but he has long since cared.

"Is that not your name?" The hokage looked confused.

"Never heard it before." Boruto tried to contain him composure, but he was absolutely terrified.

"Relax. If we were going to eat you we would have done it by now." Shikamaru joked.

The two men on each side of the hokage left the room to give them privacy.

"This is the second time we have met, but I still haven't introduced myself properly. I'm Naruto Uzumaki. I am the Hokage. I'm kind of the leader of the hidden leaf." Naruto laughed. "I don't look it do I?"

It wasn't often that Boruto lost his composure, but tight spaces and confinement were definitely on the top of the list. "Let me go! I- I don't know how you know me, but just le-let me go!" The blonde boy tried yanking his hands out of the cuffs, only to have the metal dig into his arms. He felt absolutely defenseless without the use of his Karma.

"Stop it. You're only hurting yourself." Naruto tried to relax the boy. He was frightened, that much he could tell.

Boruto yanked so hard that blood started dripping down from his metal cuffs. Blood pounded in his ears and his vision became disfigured. The inability to breath became apparent as he tried taking deep breaths, only to gasp in shallow oxygen.

As much as Naruto wanted to undo the cuffs, he couldn't. For the safety of the Hidden Leaf Village it was better that he was confined. He saw what Boruto was capable of back in Ryutan. It went against everything Naruto stood for, but he couldn't risk the boy going on another rampage.

Boruto struggled to free his legs as well. This was just like that time with Jigen. "Let me go! I won't do anything." He tried taking another deep breath. "What are you going to do with me?"

"Relax. You're safe here. We're not going to do anything to you." Naruto sighed and sat down. While Boruto was unconscious earlier, he had Dr. Katasuke run a blood test to be sure that that was Boruto... his long lost son. It came back a match. Naruto sent a shadow clone to catch Hinata up to speed. He couldn't believe that his son came back to him after all these years.

"That's what they all say! That it's safe! I don't know you!" Boruto bucked against the restraints again, blood began to drip faster down the boy's arms.

Naruto couldn't bear it anymore. He couldn't watch his son be so frightened. The trauma underneath Boruto's scars were deep. Deeper than he could ever imagine. The hokage went to undo Boruto's restraints, he jerked his head away from him when he came close. Naruto's heart pained deeply watching his son. Boruto had turned into someone who was feared, as well as fearful. He had turned out just like Naruto was when he was a kid.

Once Boruto was free of the cuffs, the boy scrambled towards the end of the bed, slamming into the headboard, as far away from Naruto as possible.

"There is something I need to tell you, that can't just wait. I'm going to be taking care of you for now on, so let's go home." Naruto offer a warm smile at his son, extending him a hand.
