"What did you just say?" I asked in awe.

"You don't love me." He repeated with a nod, "Okay."

"Okay?"

He nodded and signed 'it's okay.' I furrowed my eyebrows unable to understand what was going on and switched to half-sign half-speaking. I still only knew the basics, but I could  get by if he could read my lips.

"What happens now?"

Tendou smiled wider and shrugged. His smile stopped my tears almost making it seem okay, but this whole thing was far from okay.

"I don't love you either."

The last words I wanted to hear came from his lips, but I was also okay with it. It was a strange feeling of rejection, but the way he delivered them made them okay to be said out loud without anger or sadness.

Tendou caught himself quickly before I could speak, "This isn't the end. I think I can love you."

"So what?"

"So, let's just... play it by ear." His pun made us both laugh instantly breaking the ice.

"By ear, okay," I let the big grin residing from my laugh stay, "But, why didn't you pick Semi if you didn't love me?"

He stopped talking completely and signed again. I could only understand some: "He... too fast... impatient."

"He rushed things?" I asked for clarity receiving a nod in return, "Well, let's do the opposite then."

"Take our time." He signed in agreement.

"But what about Semi and Keita?" I asked frowning again.

Tendou tilted his head smiling as if it didn't even matter. He stood up and pulled me to my feet with his hands on my arms and began walking back inside as if those two didn't matter a dime to him.

So, I took on the same attitude. I linked arms with him to both of our amusement and walked back inside with him. At the break off, he turned to me with both hands on my shoulders and leaned close planting a kiss on my forehead before turning towards the boy's dorms.

I touched the same place he'd kissed and watched him leave with a small smile. I had almost forgot what hell awaits me when I get into my own room.

I stood in front of my dorm room with my hand up as if I was going to knock, but then I decided that barging in was probably the best thing to do.

Keita didn't even react. She lie in her bed on her phone as if my presence was completely undetectable to her.

"Can we break the silent treatment and go ahead with the big argument?" I asked her with a small eye roll that I tried to hide by turning away from her towards my side of the room.

"Don't know what you're talking about." She muttered with her face still glued to her phone.

"Yes you do. You haven't spoken to me since the festival. You expect me to just let this happen after we became friends?" I turned back around to her hoping for a explosive temper like Semi had given me.
