"Jasmine get up!" I heard my mom from down stairs.

"Mom" I mumbled.

Today is the first day of school from summer break, which makes me extremely sad, because I honestly hate school, especially the first days.

"JASMINE!"

"Okay, okay am up." I said more to myself than to my mom.

I got out of the bed rather quickly, it made me feel slightly dizzy for a moment

Then I went to the bathroom, but what I saw in the mirror almost scared me. My hair was a mess and I had bags under my eyes.

I shook away the though of how much makeup it is going to take to hide them.

I've always hated wearing makeup it's itchy, but I think I can handle it this one time, after all, it's the first day of school.

I took a shower , it helped me to wake-up a bit more, I came out with a towel wrapped around my body. I went back to my room to pick out what I was about to wear.

The sun was hot out, so I decided to wear a white crop top with my black high waisted jeans, which didn't really look like a first day of school outfit but I was satisfied with my look as a person that doesn't dress up alot. I'll leave that to my best friend Alicia.

"Jasmine, your friend will be here any minute and I don't want to keep her waiting!"my mom shout from down stairs.

"In just a minute ma"I said putting on my jeans.

"Your breakfast is getting cold."

"Be down in a sec" I said rolling my eyes while adding a lot of concealer to the bags under them .

"Could you hurry so that ma doesn't have to shout again, it's getting annoying" my sister said while entering my room and laying on my bed.

"Can't you see me trying?"

"What are you doing to your face anyways?" She asked looking at me weirdly, sleep still evident in her eyes.

I turned and show her my other eyes that is not yet covered.

"Whatever" she said turning her back to me a hugging my pillow.

This has always been our relationship as sisters and I'm good with that because I love her and I know she loves me.

"JASMINE Jalisia Calimore!"

"Mom can be so annoying sometimes, mom she's coming!" Janica exclaimed.

"Janica, your up, come for breakfast."

"No ma'am am not up" she said into my pillow.

"Bye" I said picking up ma bag from the floor that mom had me pack the night before.

"Mhmm" she said in the pillow.

"Oh and, get out of my room" I said going through ma room door and down the stairs before she could say anything.

I saw my dad in the dinning room reading a news paper near the window . When he saw me he stopped reading.

"Hey pumpkin, excited for your first day of school" he says it like it's my first day in kindergarten which made me and my mom laugh.

"Hey dad"I said trying to suppress my laughter.

I walked to where he was and placed a kiss on his cheek.

I went to the table and saw thay mom had made toast and eggs with hot chocolate, which I thanked her for, after a few bits of my toast and a sip of my hot chocolate, I heard the horn of a car that I'm guessing is Al's.

I said bye to my parents an hurried to the door.

As I open the front door of my house, I saw Al stick her head out of her car shouting and laughing. "Jas! Oh how I missed that cute little face of yours!"

But as I got close, I saw her made a disappointment face.

"What?" I asked getting in her car.

"Who did your makeup?" She asked with a frown on her face.

"I did, what's the problem?" I asked rolling my eyes even though I already knew the answer.

"Why didn't you call me? And why do you need makeup when you face is already so... what's the word? Oh yes, perfect." She paused for a moment then she shouted dramatically of no reason. "Oh, and you hate makeup!" Al said all this, while moving her hands and making her face in different expressions as she spoke.

That's her practicing her acting.

Alicia is the leader of the drama club, that's where we first met in 7th Grade. The both of us where equally good at drama, at least that's was she said, others might have thought otherwise , I think she might have just said it to comfort me and to get me to join the club, she helped me practice on my acting skills and I became better, and that's also where our relationship began.

"Because I woke up late and my eyes had bags beneath them. Oh and yes I still hate makeup." I said smiling and imitating her voice a little at the end.

"Okay" she said with her hands up as if to say 'whatever'.

I turned on the radio and 'Señorita by Shawn Mendes' began to play and we both began to sing as Al drove us to school.
