Jennie POV

Should I accept it?

Should I accept the fact that I will marry a girl?

I think this is my fate,

to get married with her.

"Jennie, baby, I know this is hard for you," my mom said softly as she sat beside me, rubbing my back. Her gentle touch made me whimper.

She cupped my cheeks, wiping away my tears. "But we promise you, after this, we won't force you to get involved in the company anymore, and we'll support your dreams. Just help us save the company for your late grandfather's sake," she said sincerely.

I nodded and smiled through my tears. "Okay, Mom, I'm in," I acquiesced, wiping my tears away.

I didn't have a choice but to help my parents and save the company my grandfather built. Despite their lack of support for my dreams, they had let me work on my own. I felt this was the right time to return the favor.

"Thank you, Jennie," my mom said sincerely, embracing me.

"I'm doing this for our family," I said dramatically, still sobbing.

"Thank you for being a filial daughter, sweetie. I love you," my dad said as he joined our hug.

"I love you too, Dad," I replied. This was the first time I'd cried in front of my parents. I usually kept my emotions in check, not wanting to worry them. But today, I couldn't hold back.

"Don't cry, okay?" my dad said, smiling. "Let's eat." He concluded, and I managed to stop crying before we started eating.

As we ate, I couldn't help but think about the woman I was going to marry. Whoever she was, I hoped we could get along. This was just business, but I was curious to know her.

"Anak, are you staying here tonight? Because if yes, I will—" my mom began, but I cut her off.

"No, Mom. Jisoo is waiting for me. I need to go home," I said casually, smiling.

"These kids, they haven't been able to stay apart since they were little," my dad said jokingly, shaking his head.

"Well, it's our fault, Mateo. We let Jennie stay with Jisoo all the time. Remember? She almost never wanted to come home. When you carried her back, she would cry," my mom laughed.

"Yes, I remember! She cried every time we picked her up. But when she saw Jisoo again, she was so happy," he laughed.

I shook my head and laughed too. I didn't realize how close Jisoo and I were back then.

"But now, our daughter is all grown up. She's getting married soon," my mom said, her smile turning into tears.

"The Manobans are kind and trustworthy people. Don't worry, our daughter will be in good hands. My father and the chairman of Manoban Enterprise were good friends. I remember visiting the company as a kid and seeing the chairman's granddaughter," my dad said casually.

"Did you see her granddaughter? They say she's a very private person," my mom asked.

"No, I've never seen her. She must be really private," he replied.

A private person? Now I was really curious to know who this woman was.

Lisa POV

I'm at the balcony of my room, taking a sip of my whiskey while thinking about Rosé. If she finds out that I'm getting married with someone else, that would be the end of our relationship and I don't want that to fucking happen.
