I walked down the stairs to the kitchen and see Erica standing really close to Damian. Imma need her to back up.
"Hey nessa" Dame said kissing my cheek. I saw Erica glare at me. I rolled my eyes and grabbed a cup from the cabinet. "So Damian, how long have you been playing basketball?" she asked lightly stroking his arm. "Since I was a kid"
"Wow that is so interesting" She leaned forward so her boobs would start to spill out a little. He didn't even look once. Do I have a good man or what?
"You know, I love basketball. Maybe you can show me some moves sometime." Now I know she's desperate. She don't even like basketball. She doesn't even like sports.
"Erica, do you want some water? You seem kinda thirsty." She glared at me and Dame tried to hold back his laughter.
She huffed and walked away. "Nice one" Dame said walking closer to me. "Thanks. If she touched you anymore, she was gonna lose that hand."
"Wow, I never knew my girlfriend was the jealous type" He wrapped his arms around me. "I'm not jealous. How would you feel if one of your cousins kept flirting with me? Oh wait, thats already happening."
"But you dont even see Chris, so he can't still flirt with you." "He likes every picture I put on Instagram and flirts in my DMs."
"You don't have to worry about Erica. I only have eyes for you" He leaned down and kissed me. "I was never worried" I mumbled against his lips.
Then I heard someone clear their throat. We pulled away and saw my dad standing there.
"Daddy!" I ran over to him and gave him a tight hug. "Hey baby girl" His eyes landed on Dame. "Who is this?"
"Dad, this is my boyfriend Damian. Dame, this is my dad."
"Nice to meet you sir" he said putting his hand out to my dad, which he shook. "Nice to meet you too. I know it must be a hand full trying to deal with her." "It has its moments"
"You weren't supposed to agree with him" I said hitting Dame.
"Hey Dame, you tryna hoop?" Carter said walking into the kitchen with a basketball. "Sure" They walked out leaving my dad and I to talk.
"I know you really like him and he seems like a nice guy, but I don't trust him. Not yet anyway."
"Why?" "He's an athlete. You know how they are with women."
I put my hands on my hips. "Thats not a good excuse. You was an athlete too." "I know that, thats why I'm saying that."
"He is a really nice guy and he isn't like that." "I just want to make sure you don't get hurt again. I don't want a repeat of that Devin guy."
"You mean Davon?" "Yea him."
"I better find your mother. She wants me to build the chair she bought for your grandma."
After he left, Erica walked in. "So, you're dating a basketball player? What I don't understand is how did someone like you get someone like him."
I ignored her. She might try to get under my skin, but its not gonna work. "He may be your boyfriend now, but he will be mine soon."
That got my attention. I turned to look at her. "What?" "You heard me. He needs someone better than you, like me." "So you're saying that he should have someone who spreads her legs for every guy she meets?"
"It doesn't even matter. He will be mine soon. No man can resist me." She flipped her hair and walked out.
Soon after she left, Georgia walked in. "Whoa, what happened? You look like you could murder someone."
"Nothing. Nothing at all" I said with a tight smile.
