"What if you were a special person in my past life?"
That question brought me a sleepless night. Hindi ko ba alam kung anong meron at sobrang affected ako sa tanong na 'yun.
"Uyy! Okay ka lang?" Lauren asked while we were walking to the gymnasium. May training kasi kami ngayon, sabi niya manonood daw siya ng game ng kuya niya. Babantayan niya rin daw dahil baka ibang bola ang mahawakan, you know? Fuckboy nga raw?
"Y-Yeah, I am okay." I answered and nodded my head with a forced smile. She just pouted her lips and even hugged my arm where she's clinging on.
She started humming a familiar song while looking around. I can see the amusement in her eyes while I am here, trying to remember where I heard that song.
Wait---I think I know where I heard that.
"Lauren," I called her. Napatingin naman siya sa akin at tumigil sa pag-hum.
"Yes?" she asked, I heaved a sigh.
"Anong title ng kanta na 'yan?" I asked, she smiled at me and blushed.
"Kanta 'yan ng Leviticus! 'Kung Hindi Ikaw at Ako' ang title!" she said excitedly, "Ang ganda nung kanta, nung meaning nung kanta. Pati na rin yung pagkaka-execute ng Leviticus!" I nodded my head even though I haven't heard of the lyrics clearly yet. But I'll try to search that later. "Nagandahan ka?" she asked, I nodded my head.
"Yeah," and I heard Blaze humming that song before. I liked it. Hindi ko nga lang maitanong kung anong kanta 'yun.
When we arrived inside the gymnasium, the crowds were cheering. Agad naman kaming nakipagsiksikan ni Lauren papunta sa pinakababang bleacher.
"Girl, anong meron?" agad na tanong ni Lauren nang makaupo kami sa bleacher, she's looking at the lady beside her.
"May transferee, bagong recruit sa team. Ayun, oh! Si Lawson!" my eyes widened and immediately looked inside the court.
It's Blaze!
Wearing a white and yellow jersey uniform, oozing his cool and hot aura. He has a headband from a designer brand, he's also sweating while holding on his knees.
"OMG! GO, LAWSON 22!" I bit my lower lip while staring at him.
The referee whistled and the opposing team served, agad 'yung sinalo ni Blaze at ipinasa kay Mattheo, Mattheo hit it back to him so he could make a spike. And the crowd, once again, screamed.
"Pamilyar siya sa akin," Lauren whispered. I looked at her and saw her squinting with a pout. "Gwapo, shit!" she whispered
"O-Oh, you know him?" I asked, she looked me in the eye and I can't help but to avert my gaze.
"Ikaw ba? You know him?" I am not looking at her, but I know that she's smirking.
"H-Hindi, ah?" I retorted, which made her chuckle.
"Para talagang pamilyar siya!" she exclaimed, "Ano kayang pangalan niya?" she asked,
"Lincoln Blaze Lawson," sagot ko kaya nanlalaki ang mata niya akong tiningnan.
"Oh! Yiieeh!" she teased and even poke my side, "Alam na alam?"
"He's my classmate in Justice class." I answered, napatawa lalo siya.
"'Wag ako, Shanice. I saw you with him nung acquaintance party, magka-holding hands pa kayo." She giggled, I felt my cheeks burning.
Natahimik na ako, good thing that Lauren also focused in the game instead of teasing me. medyo nae-embarrass kasi ako.
