Chapter 14: Red Flag

"Coffee?" Aizren showed me a cup of coffee with a brand of the coffee shop that I saw the last time I went in the mall, it was placed on the dashboard.

"No, thank you." I answered, taka naman siyang tumingin sa akin. "I'm sorry, I'm not into coffees." I answered, his lips parted and he nodded.

A long silence,

Unti-unti nang lumalakas lalo ang ulan. We barely see the road and the wiper isn't enough anymore. Good thing that our home is just near.

Nauna siyang bumaba at binuka ang payong, iikot pa sana siya sa side ko pero tumawid na lang ako sa driver's seat para hindi na siya mahirapan. Hindi niya na ako inakbayan katulad ng kanina, medyo lumalayo pa siya kaya nababasa na siya so I pulled him closer to me. Kumapit ako sa braso niya para pareho kaming mapayungan.

"Come inside," I shouted because of the loud sound that the rain is making.

"I can't stay longer, aabutan ako---"

"Delikado, Aizren." I answered,

"But---"

"Sshh!" I pulled him and walked quicker but I slipped.

"Shanice!" he exclaimed, nabitawan niya ang payong at agad akong inalalayang tumayo.

What the heck?!

That was so embarrassing!

Pakiramdam ko namula ako roon, hindi ko na ininda ang sakit ng pwet at agad na tumayo.

"Tanga!" he shouted so I glared at him.

"Kung maka-tanga 'to!" I said, tumawa naman siya kaya napairap ako.

My butt hurts!

"Basa ka na," I pointed at him and he just rolled his eyes.

"It's because of your stupidity---"

"Excuse me?" I held my waist as I glared at him.

"Let's go inside, you might get sick." He shook his head and pulled me, marahan ko siyang tinulak at saka tumakbo. "Shanice!" sigaw niya,

I laughed and went back to the gate, he chased me and the next thing I heard is a thud. Agad ko siyang tinawanan nang makitang nadulas din siya.

"You're stupid too!" I laughed, he glared at me.

"Why did you run?!"

"Did I tell you to run as well?" natatawang tanong ko at ni-lock ang gate.

"No, but you run so I will automatically run." He said,

"Just go inside,"

"I'll wait for you." He said and crossed his arms, I heaved a sigh and acted quickly. Baka magkasakit pa siya,

Agad akong tumakbo palapit sa kanya at kumapit sa braso niya.

"It's fun having a bath in the rain pala." I chuckled while looking up, I immediately closed my eyes when the rain poured on my eyes. I wiped it immediately and looked at him, his silence started bothering me.

I caught him staring at me. Napatitig din naman ako sa kanya,

Maganda rin pala ang mata ng isang 'to.

I was surprised when he splashed some water on my face and laughed afterwards, inalis niya rin ang kamay ko sa braso niya at tumakbo siya papasok sa terrace ng bahay namin.

"Ugh! Aizren!" I ran and chased him inside,

"Ayy, jusko! Mga batang 'to!" A maid went outside, she probably saw us. "Bakit basang-basa kayo? Hintay lang, kukuha ako ng towel. Jusko!" she ran inside, I sat on the ledge and hugged myself. It's cold, tumingin naman ako kay Aizren, he's now left with his green tees, tinanggal niya rin ang sapatos.
