In which Tantiana University accepts another batch of elite vampires on the start of the fall season and the chairman decided to ask his daughter to gre...
The opening program successfully ended with the chairman lighting the torch, and Sports Week finally commenced.
It wasn't just those common ball games, and when Tantiana University plans something big, everyone has great expectations.
From worldwide ball games to chess, archery, sharp shooting, high jump, track and field, and swimming, it is almost the Olympics, and every student never contemplated or regretted completing the week's attendance.
Every game has its own specified rounds, rules, scoring, and violation systems, and every field, hall, and court are packed.
The volleyball court is one of them, filled with different levels and departments cheering for their female players.
One of those is the known pair, settled on the highest part of the seating platforms, fairly located at the sides.
Aerin's eyes were glued to the gameplay, too immersed in the deciding round between the IT and accounting departments, obviously shutting down the male beside him who remained stoic.
His eyes were burning with annoyance, and his jaw was noticeably clenching as he kept his gaze forward into nowhere. It looks like he too was focusing on the intense game ongoing below, but the truth is, he didn't spare a braincell for it.
His vision gets blurry at times, caused by his inability to blink. The occasional clicking of the tongue and the crumpling of the water bottle in his murderous grip still received no attention.
No glance, not a word or two, not a single breath directed to him.
And it kills him to feel that he was ignored. For almost two hours.
"YES!... OH NO NO NO SOMEONE STAND ON THE RIGHT!... GET THE BALL GIRLIE... AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!"
And when the last string of whistles bounced throughout the court, the IT Department defended their place again and stayed on the winning teams, up for the next game tomorrow.
"OH MY GOD! DID YOU SEE THAT!? IT'S LEGEND!" Aerin squealed in happiness, doing a spike as of the very last movement that caused their win. "Should we watch your department go? I'm sure Music & Arts is up with Tourism."
"No, thank you."
The vampire deadpanned, cutting the girl's giggles, and finally peeked through his facial expression.
"Ummm, did I do something wrong?"
"Oh, you did," Renjun scoffed while looking back in a piercing gaze. "Did you plan on ignoring me, Aerin? 'Cause you sure did."
And did Aerin's breath hitch when her name slipped out of his mouth? No, it wasn't bad or anything. But considering Renjun's way of speaking to her with several pet names and a flirty approach, it definitely gave her chills.
Renjun never called me by my name either.
"U-ummm.. I–"
"Shut it. I don't want to hear it," he cut off while raising a hand as a stop. "I'll go," he said, standing up.
"I'm sorry!" she exclaimed, also internally gasping for her own sudden outburst.
She never intended on apologizing. She didn't know what she did so wrong, though it did cruise her mind, and she never expected her voice to escape without her sane self thinking about it.
Though here she is, eyes in desperate to make him stay, lips lightly pouting, generally sporting a soft, hopeful look.
Renjun stayed silent, ruby orbs still piercing deep in her soul as he looked down on her with a lack of emotion.
It perfectly masked the real state of his twitching insides. Feeling some sort of strong feeling creep up his veins, challenging his guard.
It was all too innocent, just the human girl persuading him not to throw a fit like a sulky bitch and just stay... but it was Huang Renjun and his hormones. And it was like a battle of angels and devils, with the latter obviously winning.
And it's just the way the girl's head stopped by his hip line, something on her doe eyes firing him up, and the unholy vision of her getting wild.
Fuck, she looks like she's ready to blow.
Renjun was quick to silence the devils on his left shoulder, shutting his eyes tight for some seconds, and open them back with a sigh.
"I'll be back before you know it," he said in enough volume.
"You're not mad?"
How can I, when you face me like—
He mentally smacked himself and regained his composure, bending down until their eyes aligned, then flashing a lopsided grin.
"A little. So don't test me further, hm? Don't ignore me; I assure you, we won't last a day without you squirming under me, and I won't hesitate to take you hard, kitten." He ended in a low growl, showing who's boss, and just disappeared into thin air.
Aerin's jaw dropped, taking a lot of time to process his words. As if deities really worked hard on them, she was lucky that there weren't many people on either side of where they sat.
Even so, her mind can't take up all the raunchy remarks, and she's surprised that she's still not used to it after these past months.
She blushed hard. Pink tones on her hot ears and her heart erratically beating.
If Renjun is already this open in a span of two months, what if they continue to see each other for more?
No, Aerin should not even dwell on it. The batch of vampires will end their journey at the end of winter. After that, she won't be able to see him again because they can't take the summer heat.
But, honestly, Aerin is still lucky this time around. Because if her eyes land just inches below the vampire's hip, maybe she will be running straight to church right now.
That vampire's bulge is something that everyone with a keen eye can see. Also, the main reason why he is in a rush to go.
Huang Renjun did get a fucking boner just because her head was aligned with his pride and his mind was just beyond Chittaphon's guidance.
The cubicle in the empty bathroom down the Arts Laboratory can testify to just how his groans and curses echoed through while his hand attended to his satisfaction.
