Jay and Jangmi stayed put, still in each other's arms with their lips moving as smooth as silk. With each kiss becoming more passionate than the other, making
Jangmi walk backwards until she hit a stack of chairs behind her."How is he so good at this?" Jangmi thought to herself as she found herself being lifted up to sit on top of the chairs.
Jay was a natural at this, without any experience, he was just really good at making out for some reason. Jay was good at almost everything, and Jangmi thought that this was just another thing he was good at.
Slowly but surely, Jay made his way to the girl's neck. With his kisses turning more softly than what he did before. Jangmi hasn't experienced this before, letting her slip out a soft moan which made Jay stop and slightly chuckle at the girl's reaction.
"Don't look at me like that." Jangmi said to the boy who smiled at her in awe. "I've never done that before okay?"
"You're cute." Jay said while carrying her down from the stack of chairs, kissing her forehead sweetly. "Don't worry about that, I can help you get used to it."
Jangmi hit the boy by instinct, not knowing how to respond to his flirting. She was shy about what happened, as she wasn't as experienced as him.
"Here," Jay said to the blushing girl, handing her one chocolate milk drink. "One chocolate milk, only the best for this trainee."
Then it hit her, she was already a trainee.
"OH MY GOD! I'M ALREADY A TRAINEE!" Jangmi yelled as she jumped up and down in pure bliss. She eventually jumped into the boy's arms with him hugging her in return.
They soon calmed down, in each other's arms, swaying at the ballad that was being sung by the trainee on stage.
They danced together slowly, in the dark, with only a few rays of light coming through the top of the stage setup. It was peaceful, surreal even, for both of them.
"Jay?" Jangmi asked the boy still buried in his chest. "What are we right now?"
"What are you comfortable with?" Jay softly asked back.
"Maybe we should try seeing each other first." Jangmi said, trying to set a boundary. "You know, before we actually start dating?"
Jay hummed in response, he respected how Jangmi wanted to take it slow. He didn't want to rush her into doing anything she didn't like, he wanted her to know that he's willing to wait for her if that's what she wanted.
"Okay." He agreed, softly kissing the top of the girl's head who was snuggled up into his chest.
The two swayed for a few more moments, before a cough was heard from a few feet away from them.
It was Sunghoon.
"Uh..." Sunghoon trailed his words, not processing the situation yet. "Are you tw—"
"We just confessed to each other." Jangmi cut him off, replaying what happened earlier in her mind. "We're kind of seeing each other right now."
Her words made Sunghoon drop his mouth open, made his heart break open too.
Sunghoon scanned the two who stood before him, at first glance it was normal. But he noticed how Jay's arm was now wrapped around the girl's back, pulling her towards him ever so slightly.
It was awkward to say the least, with Jangmi not looking at both of them and Sunghoon looking at the floor. Jay on the other hand looked at his friend with worry, as he knew something was up.
"Do you want to go back to the company together?" Jay asked, breaking the silence. "We still have practice for a few more hours."
"Yeah, sure." Sunghoon answered shortly. "I guess I'll see you both at the door?" He tried to end the conversation.
"Sunghoon can we talk?" Jangmi told the boy before he could turn the corner. "Jay can you go first?" She motioned for Jay to wait for them outside.
"I guess I kind of owe you an explanation." Jangmi started, preparing to tell Sunghoon about how things escalated.
"No, don't worry about it." He shut her down before she could speak. "You just like Jay, you don't owe me an explanation for liking someone."
"But you're my bestfriend Sunghoon, I thought you might want to hear about it earlier rather than finding it out like this." She said looking at her friend who was avoiding her eyes. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier."
"Don't be." Sunghoon reassured the girl, patting her shoulder. "I'll find out about all that eventually."
Sunghoon tried to avoid the girl's story, knowing that he wouldn't be able to take all of that in. He knew he couldn't bare to listen to the story of how the girl he loved since they were kids fell in love with his friend who seemed to get everything he wanted, and sadly his first love was someone he wanted as well.
"I'm happy for you two." Sunghoon told the girl while they were making their way to Jay. "Jay is a really good person."
"I know." Jangmi happily said to the boy who tried to put on a smile for her.
"You like her don't you?" Jay broke the silence as Sunghoon kicked the pebbles on the pavement. "You like Jangmi, right?"
"I do." Sunghoon admitted, stopping in his tracks. "For a while now actually."
"I like her as well." Jay said back to his friend, asserting his feelings for the girl too. "I guess we're in a tough spot huh?"
"It's Jangmi's choice eitherway." Sunghoon said walking up to Jay. "Whatever happens, let's just keep it friendly?" He said as he put his hand up.
"Let's keep it that way then." Jay said taking Sunghoon's hand and shaking it. They were mature about it, not picking fights about anything. It was simply about liking the same girl, they were old enough to understand that they didn't need to jeopardize their whole friendship for that.
They soon arrived at their company, where people were still in their respective practice rooms. With their practice room being a bit empty, with Jake being the only one in right now.
"You guys sure as hell took your sweet sweet time huh?" Jake commented at the two boys as they stood at the doorway.
"Jay and Jangmi are seeing each other." Sunghoon nonchalantly said as he entered the practice room, making Jake scream hysterically and Jay stop his tracks at the doorway.
"My friends? In a love triangle? And they're still cool about it?" Jake teased as he dragged Jay into the practice room. "Did I miss an episode?"
"Jake, this is real life. Not everything is as dramatic as the ones you see online." Jay said with Sunghoon agreeing.
"We'll leave it to Jangmi, she's the one who we both like anyway." Sunghoon said making Jake clap at the two, feeling proud for his friends.
"It was like yesterday when you two fought because both of you wanted to spend time with her more than the other." Jake said recalling their recent fight.
"Well, we're better than that. Right?" Jay said to Sunghoon who just nodded in agreement.
"Well as long as you two are happy." Jake said while pulling the two boys into a hug. "And as long as you two don't ditch me."
"We're a team, we'll be here for you too."
