the day was new, and with this new day came a new member of the adepti. she had not remembered much about what happened before she awoke under a large tree at a mountain peak, only the fact that she was in extreme pain that suddenly turned into peace. eventually she mustered enough strength to rise to her feet and take in her surroundings. it was beautiful scenery and the sun was rising over a nearby mountain. before she could process anything else she heard a stern voice behind her.

"you're awake"
i snapped my head around, looking for the source of the voice. you observed the mans unique features, like his short emerald hair and golden eyes that pierced your inner thoughts.
"oh i didn't know i had company. who are you?"
"my identity is no matter to you as of now. if you can walk then follow me."
you follow him because something tells you he does not mess around. after a few minutes you arrive somewhere in Jueyun Karst and look up and meet eyes with... a bird?
"xiao. you've arrived with our newest member i presume?"
"yes Cloud Retainer, now let me explain the situation to her"
he turns to face you and explains how you were on the verge of death, and the adepti came to your rescue, as even though you were a passing traveler through Liyue, you did everything you could to help everyone you met, and they did not want to see someone so young and pure perish. they asked you if you wanted to live on as an immortal adeptus, and you said yes, because you still wanted to see the world.
your eyes widen as you hear the story of what you have become.
"Now then," Cloud Retainer speaks, "you are in no shape to protect anything, let alone a nation. since you're so fond of exploring, we will have you learn to fight and survive on your own and only once you receive the divine power from the gods will we accept you as one of us. now off with you. there is nothing else to say. one hardly has the time for such trivial matters."
and just like that you were thrusted into the real world.
