Prologue: The Beginning of the End

      Long ago, in a time once forgotten there was a great hero who yearned for adventure...that man's name was never fully known. Most people only knew him...as Ozma. Soon enough, that adventure he so desperately wanted came to him, in the form of saving a fair maiden from a tower, the age old story of a hero saving a princess. As Ozma had saved the princess, they eventually grew close and fell in love. Though as every story goes...there must be a tragedy, an illness had put Ozma into a coma, and eventually he succumbed the sickness and passed away, his lover, in all her grief begged the Brother Gods of Light and Darkness to resurrect him, while the God of Light refused...the God of Darkness accepted the proposition believing he was the one she had asked first, however when he found out that wasn't the case, he allowed Ozma to stay dead. The woman pleaded with everything she had to allow him to live but both gods refused and thus the woman convinced the people of the world to stand against the gods...and in doing so...the gods wiped out all of humanity...save for the woman, whom they granted immortality.
    Later, as the gods were preparing to completely leave the world, they gave Ozma a proposition in the afterlife...he will be allowed to come back and reincarnated but he must watch over the world, develop it and bring humanity together with the power of the Four Divine Relics representing the four basic attributes of life: CREATION, DESTRUCTION, KNOWLEDGE, and CHOICE. Ozma would need to collect these relics and gather them to summon the gods once more when all is said and done, should humanity pass their judgement the gods will live amongst them once again and restore their entire ability to wield magic but...should humanity fail the gods will destroy the entire world and start over with a fresh one where these attributes are no longer known. Ozma accepted this condition, believing he could see his lover again but when he was returned he saw the sorry state of the world and could not believe his eyes...humans with animal features...in cages? What had happened while he was dead. Though soon enough, he found something that intrigued him, people calling a pale woman a "witch" someone they had casted away for having such absurd features and when he came to this "witch's" house he couldn't believe his eyes, his lover, the woman he wanted to see more than anything looked like this, but his lover and him were now on a new world, one where they could rule as she planted the idea in his head, and instead of following the brothers' proposition he listened to his lover and subjugated the world to the point where he and his lover were considered gods themselves, soon enough they bore four children, all daughters who were as adept in magic as themselves and as the woman had thought of using their daughters as weapons to grow their power even further but Ozma was opposed to this and tried to flee the castle with their daughters but the woman caught wind of this betrayal and destroyed their castle along with their daughters. Ozma would then wander the world with his original task in mind and begin collecting the Four Divine Relics and soon when Ozma was an old man he gifted four girls with the powers his daughters once possessed and with that Ozma's first reincarnated life had ended... Now you may be asking what this has to do with anything. Well, it is time to know what had happened later on with another reincarnation Ozma had.
A few millennia have passed since Ozma's original reincarnation, Ozma now an established researcher with technology and a sort of semblance of magic available to him had begun looking into the powers of the so-called Four Maidens and the Four Relics and, with the help of fellow researcher, (Y/N) (L/N), an accomplished physicist and fighter of newly named "Creatures of Grimm" had tried to merge the powers of these "Semblances" with the cells of a Grimm and the Aura of humans to try and help the world prosper even more with the idea of curing the world of sickness and death. Finally, a breakthrough was made in this research and a new type of cell was created, GEAR CELLS, named as they would gear the world towards further evolution and help it. Ozma's newly formed team needed a test subject and he had the idea, to use his fellow researcher as his that subject.
    "(Y/N), our breakthrough is almost complete we just need that subject, and you don't want to become the first step in our next evolution?" Ozma said, trying to convince (Y/N) to become the prototype of this new subspecies aptly named "Gears".
   "Ozma, my friend I'm sorry but I cannot, this "evolution" while great for humanity, could prove dangerous even though we've stabilized the Gear Cells there's no way the modification could work entirely on humans just yet, yes we've tried animals and they have shown promise, but it is still not ready" (Y/N) stated trying to light a cigarette while on his break.
    This outraged Ozma and thus, he resorted to drastic measures he injected (Y/N) with a formula meant to tranquilize someone and put them under as a sort of powerful anesthetic and lied to his researchers that (Y/N) had volunteered for the modification and, with him being the head researcher, they believed him and had began implanting the Gear Cells into (Y/N) and he was transformed, into an Artificially Enhanced Human Gear Prototype. When (Y/N) awoke he was a changed man- or Gear now. He couldn't move a muscle due to his entire strength being subdued because of an Aura Suppression Field, he just layer there waiting for a day to escape. Two years later, (Y/N) finally escaped after a new researcher had accidentally deactivated the ASF and quickly knocked everyone within the facility out and quickly creating a suppressor headband to help subdue his Gear nature and reverted his looks to that of a human. After finishing that up, (Y/N) went into hiding hoping thinking
       Ozma...I swear with my burning soul, I will find you and kill you for all you have done. Your entire world will go down for what you did to me you bastard...
  And with that, the Gear Project, was canceled in its entirety, with (Y/N), now called "The Badguy" by most huntsmen, in secret created a weapon of mass destruction focused solely on destroying Ozma completely, The Outrage. However, despite being a Gear, he was still just a prototype and couldn't handle the full powered Outrage and thus broke it into Eight Pieces, these Eight Pieces would soon become known as the Eight Holy Weapons. (Y/N) soon joined a Guild of Huntsman that didn't respond to any council, The Sacred Order of Holy Knights, where he became essentially a legend of killing Grimm, even being called a God of War, despite not wielding a fully fledged weapon, only wielding an oversized hunk of iron called "Junkyard". Soon enough, Kliff Undersn, the leader of the Order, gifted (Y/N) the Fireseal, one of two components of the Outrage the Order had acquired, and (Y/N) accepted it and soon left said Order, Kliff understanding that it was for the best. (Y/N), then created a casing for said Fireseal and allowed it to enhance and even further accentuate its own strength, naming his new weapon "Junkyard Mk II"
   This brings us to the present, a couple hundred years later, (Y/N) has now merged the Fireseal with another part of the Outrage found during his adventures, the Flashing Fang, and even further upgrading his Junkyard into his current weapon, the Junkyard Dog Mk III. (Y/N) looking younger now due to his Gear Cells stopping and somehow reverting his age to that of someone in their late teens, 18 in particular, decides to enter the initiation and plot to end Ozma, briefly remembering something the man told him many years ago,
        "(Y/N), I am immortal, I am the reincarnation of a man meant to save the world by any means...these Grimm didn't just appear they are being controlled by someone... Her name... is Salem."
This information, now fully remembered to him, has him with two goals...Kill Ozma and Salem and bring the world together or let it burn... THIS IS THE STORY OF THE "GUILTY GEAR", "THE FLAME OF CORRUPTION", "THE BADGUY",
