"OH, YOU'RE Miguel Valerico's wife?" I smiled playfully before answering his question.

"Yes, I'm Maria Thriska Santori-Valerico. His wife," Pakilala ko pagkatapos ay nakipag-kamay.

"I'm not actually surprised, knowing how big Santori Corporation is. Your father made a good partnership with the Valericos." He replied.

I wrapped my hands around my husband's arms while still showing my smile to the guests of the party.

"Mr. Valerico, your presence is needed to start the opening." Wika ng isang head speaker ng event na lumapit sa amin.

"Excuse us please," Nakangiting wika ni Miguel sa mga bisita na kausap namin kanina.

He guided me to sit on an empty table where we supposed to sit after he present his opening speech.

"Don't do something stupid." He warned me while a fake smile was still flashed in his lips to make it look like we're having a normal conversation.

I rolled my eyes on him, "You're not my father to boss me around." Tugon ko.

He gave me a warning look before he walked towards the stage.

The crowd gave a round of applause when he was introduced. He's still smiling and he always succeed on manipulating people to make himself look like an innocent respected man like he never was in reality.

"I didn't know that you're married..." I was slightly shocked when I heard a rasp voice from my left ear.

Pagkalingon ko ay nakatayo sa likod ko ang isang matangkad na lalaki, he has a smile on his lips and it made him look like he's smirking.

"What are you doing here?" I asked when I recognized his face because of his facial hair.

Mas nakadagdag 'yon sa pagdepina ng kanyang mukha dahil hindi naman kakapalan.

He slightly chuckled then he sat on an empty chair beside me, "I was actually visiting my girlfriend but it looks like she's married now." He said without leaving his smirk on his lips.

I laughed sarcastically, "We're done, Rem. And you know that." Sagot ko.

He's looking straight on the stage where Miguel is standing tall while speaking, he laughed again. This time, it wasn't sound like he's playing with me.

"I never agreed on that break up that you're talking about, Thriska. You can't just play with me then leave me hanging when you decided to marry that asshole." He's glaring at Miguel while there is still a grin on his lips.

"There is nothing you can do now, we're officially married." I proudly replied.

He chuckled then faced me, our eyes met and I saw how fierce his eyes was, "A game is more enjoyable when it's wrong." He then licked his lips.

Inilibot ko ang paningin ko sa mga tao kung may nakakita ng ginawa niya, mabuti na lamang at naka-focus ito sa speech ni Miguel.

Natapos ang speech niya at agad na diretso sa kung nasaan ang lamesa na kinauupuan ko.

Tumayo ako at ganoon rin si Rem nang makita si Miguel, ngumiti siya na tila walang nangyari.

"Mr. Cortez," Nakangiting bati ni Miguel pagkatapos ay nakipag-kamay.

"It's my pleasure to meet your lovely wife, she's fun to talk to." Nakangising aniya pagkatapos ay tumingin sa akin na tila nang-aasar.

Bahagyang tumawa si Miguel, "I'm really lucky to have her, it's good that she introduced herself to you." He replied while his arms is still wrapped around my waist.

"You should enjoy being with her, Porque ella será mía pronto." He smirked at me.

Tila nabalot ng kalituhan ang mata ni Miguel nang marinig ang sinabi ni Rem.

"Sorry, what?" Tanong niya. I glared at Rem but he just shrugged his shoulder while still grinning.

"I said, you're a very lucky husband." He answered.

Miguel chuckled then kissed my cheeks, I wanted to wipe it off but I didn't since it will be a big help to drive Remedrius away from me.

Ang kaninang mapaglarong mata niya ay tila napalitan ng inis ngunit hindi niya ito pinahalata kay Miguel.

"I should get going now, I just passed by to wish you a good life." Paalam niya.

Magkamay muli ang dalawa pagkatapos ay tumingin ito sa akin, sinenyasan ako ni Miguel na makipag-kamay rin na ginawa ko naman.

When our hands touched, he slightly brushed my palm.

"It was nice meeting you, Mrs. Valerico. Vamos a jugar de nuevo en otro momento." He said while making it look like we're having a farewell conversation.

"Vete a la mierda." Nakangiting tugon ko.

Ako ang unang bumitaw sa pagkakamay namin.

"Let's meet in some other time." After that, he walked away leaving me and Miguel alone.

"What did he said?" Tanong niya sa akin.

"I thanked him for wishing us a good life." I rolled my eyes on him.

"I'm watching you, Thriska." He said with a threatening tone.

"Fuck off." Wika ko.
