- ☆ -The portal shimmered before them like liquid glass, warping the air around it into ripples of cold light.
Y/n stood beside Sasuke in the stillness, heart drumming loud enough that she wondered if he could hear it too.
He raised his hand, calm and deliberate, the Rinnegan in his left eye pulsed.
The void opened wider, a tear through reality itself.Without a word, he stepped through.
She followed, bracing herself.
The sensation was immediate and overwhelming, a sickening twist of gravity that pulled at every bone in her body. She tumbled through a world of blinding white, no ground, no sky, just weightlessness and ringing silence.
Then, solid ground slammed into her boots, and the world around them snapped into brutal clarity.
They stood in an endless silver-blue wasteland. The sky overhead churned with slow, massive currents of black and violet clouds. Crystal pillars jutted out from the earth at impossible angles, scattering the dim light into fractured, unnatural hues.
The air was cold. Too cold.
Dead."This is it," Sasuke murmured, adjusting his cloak against the heavy emptiness pressing down on them. His voice sounded smaller here. "Kaguya's dimension. The one she abandoned."
Y/n drew a slow, steadying breath.
Her chakra sense was dull, confused. Every direction felt wrong, like the world itself rejected her presence. They moved carefully, each step echoing across the hollow plain.
Ahead, looming like a jagged wound against the false horizon, stood a towering structure, an ice-like castle, its spires twisted and broken, statues lined along a half-collapsed stairway leading inside.
Y/n hesitated.
The statues were weathered, but the faces carved into them were clear, horned figures, blank-eyed, hauntingly familiar, the Otsutsuki.
Sasuke pushed forward, hand on the hilt of his sword. She followed, fingers twitching with the need to form seals she couldn't yet justify.
Inside, the cold deepened.
The air tasted of old chakra, ancient and rotten. Their footsteps echoed in a hollow way that felt almost disrespectful.
They climbed the cracked stairs, passing more statues frozen mid-battle, mid-prayer, mid-despair.
At the center of what once might have been a throne room, atop a low altar of ice, lay a scroll.
Simple.
Unassuming.
Sasuke approached it without hesitation. He reached out, grabbed the scroll, and slipped it into his satchel.
And the world around them shifted.
The statues groaned as if waking.
A pressure built in the air, heavy, suffocating.
A flash of movement.
Sasuke shoved Y/n to the side just in time as a blade of raw red chakra tore through the space they had occupied a second ago.She landed hard behind an ice pillar, heart hammering.
An Otsutsuki materialised from the shadows, tall, horned, a translucent white veil over his face, hands radiating crimson energy.
Kinshiki.
Sasuke drew his sword, eyes flashing into Sharingan, body sliding naturally into combat stance.
"Stay back," he ordered, his voice leaving no room for argument.
