"Traditions should be changed accordingly. There was a time when we were not allowed to even see our brides and now you are .." before Zaakir Ahmed Qureshi could continue to impart some sense in his spoilt , immature son who was getting out of his hands now.
Ayaan looked at his father like he has grown two heads. He was saying the things those were written in the paper by his mother he was sure of.
"You are talking about hundred years back baba. Mama and you had a love marriage if you remember or do I have to start telling all those embarrassing stories that Mama told me all these years. Have I told you about how Aroosa Khala told me how you and Mama lied to nanu. And if we are so much concerned about changing traditions then please the first thing we are going to cut these luscious locks of yours. For heaven sake I can't even tell if it's you or Mama sometimes. I am telling you baba even though I like your long black locks tied with a ribbon but be aware of your grandchildren they might take you as their grandma.
Ayaan's words made his father wack his head. He was such an insolent child sometimes.
"You insolent child making fun of your father's hair." Zaakir glared at his only son. He was just useless sometimes and if he didn't agree Ayaan to come to the ball she has organised for the charity than he would have to sleep a week in the guest room.
"Grandbabies oh wow, darling.. you are already thinking of them.." came a voice that startled both father and son. Ayaan turned and saw his mother , she was still an epitome of youth and vigor and the smile that she was having on her face was telling Ayaan that she was with some planning.
"Zaakir, hazel eyes, black hair grand babies how wonderful isn't it. I am sure they will look like Ayaan only."
Ayaan was dumbstruck. His mother was already planning how his children would look like and he was like numb.
"Darling make sure to get yourself a date for the charity ball and if you can't find let me know I know many beautiful bright young ladies who are willing to give you a chance."
