Helena was merciful. But the ladibug crossing her harm slowly, torturously slowly, was making her lose her mind. In a second, that beautiful, yet, invader bug could be gone. And she wished that she could forget her "protect the animals" side and just kill it with the slipper. But no, she just waited for the bug to fly away, even unnerved by feeling the animal's paws on her light brown skin.

A lot of things bothered her today and she could feel in her skin, besides the animal, that today wasn't going to be a good day and it would be interelly her fault.

Annika was late, again, even knowing how much Helena despises delays.

Why did love knock her off with such a "not her type" person? She was everything that Helena despises, however, here they are, almost one year together. 365 days of Annika being late and Helena trying not to yell at her for that and failing.

"You don't look good, you shouldn't be out here in the sun like that", Annika yelled, taking her shoes and walking like a little kid because of the temperature of the floor next to the pool.

It was summer and Annika was white as paper and very much north european, but Helena was from Mexico.

It was what she said to everyone but truly, she was colombian and shared the same last name as Pablo Escobar but she didn't want to be associated with the famous drug dealer so she continued saying that. And it worked, even if Annika liked to call her by "Escobar" rather than "Helena". Another thing she hated and that the person she loved does.

"I am not good, I've been waiting for you all this time and here you are, looking very much on time!"

"I took longer because I went to buy those cinnamon cookies you like and I stopped on the way to buy a matching bead bracelet for you and I. Some kids were selling it on the way over by, like, ten bucks. A bargain!", Annika said, happy, removing two bracelets from her dress pocket and showing them with a brilliant smile while her dirty blond hairs fly directly in her face.

"A bairgan? That's literally a kids bracelet, you were stolen."

Annika lowered her arms and her fingers started playing with the beans of the bracelets. She was nervous, once again. She was always nervous next to Helena. In the beginning it was the pumping feelings of love, but then, it changed, not for good.

But she always made an effort, because people who are in a relationship and in love should do that.

"Well, I thought it would be good as a memory of this summer. You know that I have to go back to Norway for a few weeks. I even made the little girls write in the price tag"

"What does it say?", Helena asked, crossing arms, still in the beach chair.

"Why don't you come here, get yours and see?"

Helena took a deep breath and felt her skin being pulled from the chair as she stood up, reaching to catch the bracelet with darker colors instead of the colorful one.

"No, no, that one is mine, to remind me of you and the things you like! This one's for you... to remind you of me."

Helena frowned, seeing the colorful bracelet. She wouldn't wear that, she would be mocked by her juniors in college, asking her if she was finally joining the rainbows and happiness side, like her girlfriend.

"That's... a very like you bracelet, indeed"

"Isn't it? It's perfect", Helena said with joy. She fell in love with the bracelets and spent the money she had in her wallet to buy it. Later, she would walk home instead of catching the bus, like always, but it was worth it.

"I will keep it in my wallet so I wont lose her", Helena apologized.

"But, its for us to use together"

"It's not really my style, c'mon, you know me, but it's okay, I will save it as a memory."

"Why don't you do what I want, for once? I really want to use this with you". Annika spoke, intoxicated by the tears that were forced to leave e without her permission

"It's not my style, doesn't look nothing like me, c'mon Annika, don't make a big discussion out of this, it's basic shit".

Annika felt the pain in her whole body, making her heart writhe with the pain. She only wanted to see her girlfriend use something that symbolizes the different poles of their relationship, but struggling again to receive comprehension made her realize that they weren't poles. Their relationship was the thing that was not in the same place. Because Helena always looked pissed with Annika even though the love she assured to have, and Annika always looked happy with what they had, even though the invasive sensations that she, sometimes, felt for being with her.

In the beginning, everything looked great, but 365 days later, Annika started thinking if if this was the kind of relationship she wanted to have and expected.

And the answer appeared when Helena threw the bracelet into her backpack.

It was a no.

"Do you know something?", Annika said, making Helena look at her, very strangely. "You should learn how to satisfy your partner's wishes instead of always getting what you want. Im done, Escobar, Im really done"

Annika walked, opening the gate of the swimming pool area and going around the house, never looking back, and Helena stood in the same place, not expecting Annikas reaction, kinda believing she would go back on her decision.

But that didn't happen. And when she reacted, it was too late.Instead, she threw the bracelet into the water of the pool, and the words "To the summer, goodbye" started to disappear.
