Raghav stared at Pallavi's picture with tears in his eyes. Their six months of marriage had made him realize how much of an injustice he was doing on Pallavi by blackmailing her to marry him. His ways of deceit had caused her to build walls around her heart. Those walls that were so high, Raghav couldn't even imagine how he'd be able to break them down to get close to her again.

The rough pads of his fingers skimmed over the glass in the frame, on top of her smiling face. It wasn't a photo he owned. It was actually hers, she'd accidentally left it behind in her empty room. In the photo, she was standing in her real home, with her real family. Not him. Not his Amma or Kirti. She was standing in between her brother and aai. She had her two arms wrapped around their shoulders as she stood, decked out in heavy jewelry and a purple anarkali suit.

He ran his fingers up and down the frame as he recalled the memory that resurfaced in his mind. The memory of how he harshly accused her of having a physical relationship with him while also making the claim that she had done so for greed. He'd reduced her dignity, reputation, and pride that day. She had been thrown out of her house, separated from her family because of him. Then again, to still save that family, she gave up whatever pride she had left and married him for her brother's sake. She had sacrificed many more valuable things than he ever had in that one week.

And, as if that was not enough, she'd even tried to mend ties between his family and him while he ignored her. He would always insult her family, her upbringing, her appearance—just so he could tell her that she wasn't his ideal choice for marriage. But now she was and it was too late. She'd already left him after the six-month deadline they'd set in their verbal contract was over.

Now, he sat, just an hour after her departure from Hyderabad, wondering how he could've made such a big mistake. She had been the one to give his mother her blood when his amma was lying unconscious in the hospital. She had never intentionally tried to harm him or his image. She had always fulfilled the responsibility of a wife and took equal care of his family. And now, when the responsibility was lifted from her shoulders, she was gone. She had sent him the divorce papers she received from her lawyer and left them with Farhad for Raghav to sign. She hadn't even spoken to him before she left.

A train ticket for him to Kolhapur was printed and left on his bedside table by Farhad. His brother-like secretary wanted him to go after his bhabhi and bring her back home. But Farhad didn't know how Raghav had really treated Pallavi behind closed doors. He had blamed her for everything while belittling her worth. She didn't deserve a useless man like him.

He squeezed his eyes shut as tears trickled down his face for a woman he used to hate. It had taken him a long time to understand it but he realized he loved Pallavi. He didn't know when or how he fell in love but he just did. Unfortunately, being in denial for months made him ignore her goodness and misunderstand her.
