     "Chloe Bourgeois?"

     "Chloe?"

"Chloe!" Her desk shook.  Mrs. Mendeleiv was standing next to Chloe with her palm on the desk. " I should not have to walk all the way up here to get your attention!". " I'm sorry Mrs."

"Do I need to send you to the principal office?"

"No ma'am." Chloe turned back around to look out the window. All she wanted to do was roll her eyes but she didn't have the energy. Her eyes were puffy and her lips were chapped. Even her hair was in a bun that hadn't been taken out for a few days.

She would walk to school every day and people would stare and whisper. And every time she wouldn't say a thing. She would walk in her classroom and all heads would raise and she just walked all the way up to her seat in the back.

No "Hi" to Adrien or no glare at Marrinete and her best friend. She didn't even look at them. Although this has gone for a few months everyone would hope that one day she would come into class and say, " By the way, all your guys' outfits look ridiculous, utterly ridiculous, except you Adrikins."

Even Marinette wished she would say something about her pigtails or the fact that she could never talk to Adrien correctly, but it never happened. The bell ringed and Chloe was the first one to leave. She power walked to the bathroom so no one saw her and she stayed there until lunch was over.

Her next class was Miss. Bustier. Her favorite teacher even if she wouldn't admit it. Miss Bustier actually acknowledged the fact that Chloe was in pain and didn't make her answer questions and gave her longer deadlines on work. She didn't know it, but this gave Chloe a sense of comfort to know someone paid attention to her.

"Today we will start by saying kind words to each other, who would like to go first?"

The class gasped. Chloe, out of all people, raised her hand. She felt shaky and sweaty since she had not answered a question in almost a month. But she stood up anyway and went to the front.

"Chloe needs a partner, would someone like to volunteer?" Miss Bustier said, a bit unsure.

Marinette looked around a not one person raised their hands. So as class representative she felt the need to talk to Chloe, even if it was like this. She raised her hand and stood up. Chloe looked relieved because she thought none would go up.

"Chloe, your clothes look great at always, I love how they always match your sky-blue eyes."

Chloe gave a slight smile even though she knew that her clothes have been the same for 4 days. It was her turn.

"Marinette, I've never told you this but I have always liked your bag. Polka-dots suit you."

Marinette mentally laughed at the irony.

"Thank you-u Chloe."

As Chloe walked back up the stairs she heard Lila say something snarky but she couldn't make it out, so she just sat down.

"How dare you!" Marinette practically yelled.

"How can you call her disgusting and dirty when she is grieving Lila!"

Lila scoffed. "Well, it's true."

"It's also true that the only reason you lie and manipulate is to pretend you have a life that is better than the sad and pathetic one you have!" The whole class, even Adrien, was astonished at the way Marinette stood up for Chloe.

"Please stop, I don't care" Chloe mumbled

"What did she say?" Lila shot, trying to sound confident.

"I SAID I DON'T CARE." Chloe projected

"I don't care about my clothes, I don't care about my hair, I don't care about school, and I certainly don't give a shit about you, Lila Rossi."  She replied almost in tears. She ran down the stairs and tried her best to make it out the door right before Miss. Bustier stopped her.

"Miss, just let me go home." Her voice wavering. Miss. Bustier nodded and let go of her hand. Chloe sprinted out of the school and onto the sidewalk. She ran until she almost passed out. Now she just walked holding her sides.

"I don't care..."
