Chapter 3 - Will you?

Moon wasn't expecting everything to happen so fast. It had been almost 2 years since that night in their rainforest and she and Qibli had gotten more and more serious. Phryyria was in an era of peace, but tensions were building between the Mudwings and the Seawings after the Mudwings made several attempts to colonize a few of the Seawings islands. She suspected that the Dragonets of Destiny would be interfering soon.

However over those 2 years her love for Qibli had only grown. honestly she hoped things would get more serious sometimes soon. Her wish was granted one day while she was out picking fruit. " hello my love", said Qibli. "Qibli!" she yelped, "You should have at least given me a warning, so I could get ready!" "Oh dear!", he laughed. She tried to give him a stern glare but just ended up enveloping him in a huge hug. "What are you doing here!" she questioned, "You're supposed to be on security duty at Thorn's palace?" " She gave me two days off to visit you!" Qibli laughed. "Follow me!" he said, "Where are we going?" Moon asked. "You'll see!" he replied giddily.

Moon continued to wonder what was so important that Qibli would leave Thorn for it. "We're here!", Qibli cried happily, snapping Moon out of her thoughts. "Oh, Qibli!" sh cried when she he had taken her to a huge waterfall. There were flowers and vines and a sweet smell of pineapple clung to the air. "Ta-Da!", he said proudly, "I though it would be the perfect place for a date." She flew over and gave him a small kiss on his cheek, "I think it's wonderful." she said. 

As he lead her down to a small patch of flowers he said, "Over the past few years I don't think about much else than you. I want to be with you always, and it hurts me when I'm not." he pulled out a beautiful ring that was a gold ban with a swirled whit, yellow, and black stone. "Oh, Qibli!" she gasped. "I love you Moonwatcher, and I want you to be the dragon I spend the rest of my life with! Will you marry me?" he said in that calm gentle tone she had come to love, "Yes, Yes, YES!!!" she cried hugging him so tightly she never wanted to let go. He slipped the ring on one of her talons as she kissed him. It wasn't a long kiss but it was what she needed. "I love you Qibli, and I want to be with you every day of my life!"
